A Morning Stroll...

I had a fun shoot with a cute new/old little dolly! I got a lot of dolls via ebay and in it was a finger ding doll named, "Betsy". Poor girl's body was all broken, but at least her red tutu was in good shape and her head. So, I decided to place her on a pure neemo sitting body, and here are the pics!

Betsy just came back from a relaxing walk at the beach! She decided to stop and pose for the camera! "Peace".

I love her bright yellow hair! She looks great in pink "Juicy Couture", made for Barbie.

These pure neemo bodies are amazing. I love the natural look as she sits and her back side! LOL!
Now, she makes me want to get a pink haired finger ding! or blue!?

Inside the Nakajima Dream Mansion!

I was finally able to take some pics of the recently acquired Nakajima Seisakusho Dream Mansion! It will become a Christmas present for my youngest daughter, Sara. My oldest daughter Tabytha had to keep her busy whilst I checked the doll house to make sure it was complete, etc.!

Oh my goodness! This cute dolly apartment building/Mansion is amazing! I've seen something similar to it in the US market, but this Japan version was complete, and with only a few minor issues, like aging, and tape damage, but otherwise in mint condition! As for the price, I must say it was definitely a cheap buy, as I thought I was going to be a part of a bidding war?! Anywho... onto the pics! (shots requested by a fellow blog friend Call of the small.)

Out of the box! The mansion has three floors, all of the furniture was included and boxed neatly for each floor and their rooms. First, outside, is a separate panel for the swimming pool and driveway area. In the first floor, the box with furniture inside said, Bathroom & Dining room furniture, which also included the pool side furniture.

A closer shot of the pool area!

 Backside of the Mansion. You can see each of the rooms. Some of the furniture is a bit large and hard to fit in each room, not giving much space to move furniture around. The furniture definitely looks a lot like Triang style furniture. All plastic, and some metal parts, like in the bathroom. As you can see the floors are all mixed up as I didn't have much time to place them in the correct order! I just noticed that dining rm is separate from the kitchen!LOL! Thank goodness the floors are interchangeable. I should've had the bedrm and nursery at the top level in the shot, ugh-_-;

The Mansion also has an elevator to go between the three levels! Using batteries the elevator can move up and down with a push of a button at the roof top. Sadly, I did not get to check if that part worked or not...I guess I will find out Christmas morning!?

When boxed, this is the kitchen set and it includes, a double sink, stove, table and 2 chairs. Along with the living room furniture set that includes, a sofa, coffee table, credenza, 2 chairs, and a floor lamp.

This set above shows the bedrm set which includes the closet, dresser w/mirror, bed, and stool. The nursery set includes, a crib with removable mattress, changing table, floor lamp, and rocking horse.

Finally, the boxed bathrm set includes, a bath tub, toilet, sink w/mirror. The Dining rm set includes, a table, 4 chairs, and a floor sconce. Not to forget to mention the pool set! Which includes, the umbrella, 4 small blue stools, a ladder, and diving board.

(above and below, sellers photos not mine.) I wanted to include these photos of the box, so you can see the levels. Sadly, it doesn't include dolls to play with...

I hope my daughter will enjoy it? Hopefully she will have many hours of play, and so will I!!

My other Project!

I was able to finish the project this morning and just had to share with you what I did!

I added some solid color pennants to this cute vintage flower cart I got from etsy some time back. It was actually quite plain before. As seen below from a previous shot with Baekdan!

setting up for the flea market

I used a gold paint marker I got back in April from my travel Stateside. I added some gold accents on the wheels, and handles. I then used teriyaki sticks, some beads, string an origami paper. I must admit it turned out cute. Now, Tadie is ready for the flea market! LOL! Besides the cart fits her better!

Now, I am going pennant crazy, and want to place them elsewhere in my dolly cabinet! LOL!

Things I did Today!

Last night just before bed time, I was inspired to make some pennants. So, this morning after all my usual chores, I started working on it and finished one part of my project!

I've always loved pastel pennants that I've seen on etsy, so I decided to make some for my Aram shelf. It actually turned out very cute too! I also added lettering! I used origami paper, tacky glue and some string. Now, to make smaller one's for my next project!

I also received an even smaller package from Japan today! Yup, only 2 items inside! LOL, Adorable Abu-chan baby doll loose with bottle, and a Anime sketchbook. The sketchbook will be added to the shop later today!

Just to adorable to resist. I found this lovely loose Abu-chan up for auction. There was also some clothing, but sadly, I didn't win the fashion. Still, this wee one is a great addition to my cheaper doll collection. Above, Abu's cute little feet and shoes!

Close up of his face. Yup, it is a boy!? When I took him out to clean him up, he has his little boy parts too! Sadly, he is wearing a pink dress, I need to find him some boy clothing!

Chubby hands and feet! I love how the sculpt is, with his feet slightly curved and his hands too! According to Yu's Cuties website, "This baby doll's name, is derived from bib, and for our Japanese call it "Abu-chan". It can hold a nursing bottle in one's mouth."

If I am able to finish the other project today? I will post it, if not, it will be shown tomorrow...

Other items that made it in Yesterday!

I didn't get a chance to add these little items I also got in, Yesterday!

These lovely vintage dolly stickers from Hong Kong, took way too long to arrive from etsy-_-; almost 2 months!! I was upset, but I can't control everything...LOL!

This lovely Unica Boy doll, I was surprised to find him via ebay Germany, no other bidders too! He is a sweet addition to my growing weird dolly collection! Now, to only find his sister!!

Unica boy and Tadie side by side, they match! Weird dolls Unite!!

Oh, I shouldn't forget to share a bit of Yesterday's shoot with Asari-chan dolls on the slide!

These dolls fit the slide scale better! They just enjoy a good slide! LOL!

My Latest Box from Japan!

Yup, it amazed me too, that I was able to get this lovely box in! Though the dollar is slowly getting better against the yen, it is not like the good ole' days when it was above 100yen-_-; But still one can always enjoy a good buy when you see one!!LOL

Above, I was able to snag this lovely larger dolly dresser in wood. I also found a lovely Sweet Lala double pencil case, a Masako W. Sketch book, and a lovely Yoko Kitajima coloring book!

I usually find them as a cabinet, closet, etc. But this one was larger, and could possibly be used for jewelry or dolly things! I like the modern/mid century/atomic look of it! Also the color of the drawers too! The mirror can be adjusted!

Lovely Masako Watanabe sketch notebook, sadly it is used, but one can still frame the front cover. A lovely dreamy anime lady art for sure!

I've often see these lovely double pencil cases and honestly, this is the first time I've had one in my hands to see. Lovely artwork by Yoko Kitajima, her anime girls are cute and childish! This pencil case has so many compartments! I counted 7 areas! I will be adding most of the items in the photo to the shop!

Some Inspiration...

Today, I was inspired to use a dolly slide that belonged to Taby in a shoot. But because the weather was raining off and on...I had to wait til' later in the afternoon-_-;

So, instead I focused on what came in the mail today! Two small packets!

From ebay a Lot of larger sized basket bags. I won't be decorating these, instead I will just keep them in my collection! Still cute and lovely baskets bags! I don't see these to often!

I also got received from the same place, a Lot of 6 doll bags, the blue small case on the right is new! I added the lovely Macoto decal, and a cute red bow!

...and the pink purse case on the right, that matches my only pink suitcase! Sadly, the pink suitcases are the hardest to find-_-; Where as, the blue or green you can find a lot of!

Finally, the red small suitcase on the left! Hard to find like the pink, I added a lovely decal and yellow bow.  Now, I have green, pink, blue, and red in my collection. I've seen the cases in orange, and white! Maybe if I do find them, I will add them too!

I was able to do the shoot and though it was still wet and windy outside, it turned out okay!

A Shipment from Japan!

Yes, I actually got another shipment from Japan...LOL! I haven't been getting in much like I usually do. Though lately, the dollar is slowly getting a bit better. Anywho, here's what came in!

This lovely Rokotan Doll Closet, comes mint in box and with original set of 3 hangers, a lovely Masako Watanabe underlay with a lovely princess, and this amazing children's book by Macoto Takahashi.
This lovely Macoto book is actually a New re-release of his children's book, it includes 2 other stories, "Thumbelina", and "The Swan Princess".
This version of Hans Christian A. story is my favorite and with Macoto's art work, so dreamy too! I found it thru Amazon Japan!
Lovely, Masako W. Margaret underlay, with lovely artwork. Quite unique and this beautiful princess can be added to your collection too, it is in the shop already!

Amazing Rokotan doll closet mint in box. In great condition. Below, shows the closet out of the box.

If I owned a Rokotan, I'd probably keep this closet!!

More fun with Tadie!

I decided to do a shoot with Tadie this morning. It was actually sunny today, no clouds, or rain...So, I tried to take some outdoor shots, but they didn't come out cause my lens fogged up-_-;

Above, the lens fogged up while I tried to take a shot of her in a club67 fashion also, showing the purse I upcycled.

Instead I did an indoor shoot!

Below is a rubber vintage doll that I got earlier, I wanted to share with my readers, that I believe this rubber doll beside Tadie, is related to her! A while back, I was doing a search for a friend on Cortendorf figurines, and I noticed that some of the whimsical figurines of children, had the same cute face paint similar my German Tadie. When I did further investigating, I found that Cortendorf was redesigned by the same people of --> 'Raumschmuck, Dr. Irmgard Fenner'. Dr. Fenner did the artwork for "Aral" dolls and also for Cortendorf children figurines, and probably for the German Tadie I have as well, since they were featured in a Raumschmuck catalogue!

Above a photo of the dolls related to each other side by side!

The face paint on these Cortendorf figurines similar to my German Tadie. (photo not mine ebay/seller).

Another Cortendorf figurine of a girl with the side glance eyes(ebay/seller pic not mine.), just like the Aral rubber doll figure I have above! So, at least I figured out the relations, now, just to find out the real name for Tadie?! LOL!
