Amazing Dumpling Dynasty Tin!!

OMG, I recently was shown several amazing tins by a dear flickr friend/Christine from another fellow flickrstream. I immediately fell in love with the styling and goodies that were inside. So, as a small Christmas gift to myself, I found this one via amazon.com by Dumpling Dynasty or Wu & Wu tins.

A cute retro style pigtail kit, which holds some really cute style hair ties, clips, etc. and also a mirror and comb! When I saw it while searching, I immediately, was taken back to some memories of my sister brushing my hair and placing similar clips and hair ties on my head!

The top section has pair of lovely large round ball hair ties, gingham bows, butterfly, flower clips, and shells too! Sadly, one of them was broken during transit, but I am trying to crazy glue them and see if I can fix em'!

Then, underneath is where the mirror and comb sit in red. How cool is this tin set!! I also found another that was actually one that I saw on the flickrstream that Christine showed me...a jewelry box set. I fell in love with the artwork on it and can't wait for its arrival too! OH gosh, I am hooked, hopefully I won't want to collect them all...eeesh! Still, I may want to get two of these sets, one to use on my dolls or daughters and one to save!! LOL! thanks for reading! - ggsdolls

Some Items Arrive...

I actually won these items a week before Christmas and was hoping they'd make it before, but didn't. Still they are lovely and cute and will be added to my collection!

I was able to find this lovely airline's child bag/purse or pencilcase. I've seen other airline company names, but most were quite expensive to get. I was lucky to get this one for a lot less then that. I must admit, I am tempted to find more...

This one has its original string straps. Underneath the wings are the engines where you can place pencils. There are wheels underneath the plane as well. A lovely piece of vintage airline memorabilia!

Then, I couldn't help but get this little guy. I actually found others on etsy, but won this one via ebay for a lot less. I love his chubby cheeks and he'll be a great addition to my vintage Christmas tree and decor for next year's Christmas! - ggsdolls

Jolly toys Clone Doll like Migliorati!!

For some time while doing searches for more flirty eye dolls. I came across a somewhat clone doll of my Migliorati Dolls. This doll has the same body design, hands, and feet as the Mig's but the face is not as beautiful and flirty as the original. Still I was able to find one MIB and in great condition to compare the two dolls...

Made by Jolly Toys 1963. This doll is called "Nikki" She has the cheaper plastic as with any clone more hard and stiff, and her body seems a bit smaller and slender. Probably after the molding process.

Here is a comparison side by side of their hands.

You can see the differences in the faces and the color of their bodies. The head sits straight, but the Mig's head is at an angle almost facing down.

Still the Jolly Toy doll has an interesting look to her face and same pouty lips. I will use her body to complete the Mig head I got in the two doll Lot, or I might just use her arms and legs? more to come soon... - ggsdolls

A Small Package from Japan! Part Two

I finally received the last of the two packages from Japan for this year! In it were some items for me and some for a dear friend that he wanted to bid on!

So, to continue here is what I got...
I couldn't help but try to bid on this little girl. She has such cute eyes, and she was minty. So, I did and won. She has been added to the shop!

Then, I also found this lovely anime girl case with no bidders! So, I figure why not, and won too! This case also had a nostalgic reason for me bidding on it. When I was about 7 years old, my sister found one for me but with "Rose of Versailles" Lady Oscar and Marie Antoinette on it. It was red with pink and at the time I thought that Lady Oscar was a guy and a very cute guy at the time. I used the case for sleep overs and when I'd go to my Aunt's house, I'd bring it along and use it to hold a change of clothes, despite it being small...I still can't figure how I held my undies, shorts, t-shirt and a dolly in it!!?? Still, this one was very much like that case...ahhh the memories!

Anyhow, it was just these two items and the others belonged to a dear friend! Thanks for reading! - ggsdolls

A Small Package from Japan! Part One

As Christmas gets closer, I wanted to make sure items I won thru YJA arrive before everyone goes on a Holiday. So, I have two small packets from Japan arriving, and today one of the two came in!!

I won these last month, and was waiting til' I had the funds to get them sent over!

This was a Lot of two Macoto style notebooks, vintage of course. The one on the bottom is by Macoto, and the one on the top probably Akira? not sure. The seller had two other lots of these books selling. I've always wanted the one at the top. So, I was thrilled to have found them!

Then, to my surprise, I found this little cutie! A Matchbox style baby doll. I didn't realize how small this doll was until it arrived!

Soft body like my squeak babies, but his body is made of terricloth. Sweet vinyl face and hair too! There are two other styles as shown on the box. Mine lays on his tummy! Can't wait to show off the other box when it arrives... - ggsdolls

Merry Christmas from my Family to yours!

We actually put up our tree earlier this month, one in our bedroom, and one in the living room. My daughters helped me with both. I wanted to wait to take photos because I had purchased via etsy a lovely vintage tree topper. It finally came, and now, I was able to take photos this past weekend!
The top was taken at night to show off the lights, and the bottom one was during the day. See the coconuts trees from the window! I loved how it turned out. The vintage tree topper is a treasure! Now, I just need to find matching vintage tree ornaments!! LOL! Notice the stockings on the windows?! We don't need fireplaces here...So, I have to be creative!

Here you can see a bit of my small Christmas in the bedroom. Along with my lovely babies enjoying the holiday season. I hope you all are enjoying it too! - ggsdolls

Cute Dolls and More Postcards...

Sorry it's been a while, but I got these lovely dolls in the mail last week, and some more Kruger postcards to add to my collection!
I won the doll at the top from ebay. She was cute with freckles and teeth. The seller was so kind to also include this cute baby below and a tiny doll(not shown) to add to my vintage doll house!

I also received these cute Kruger postcards, similar to my other one's, but these have velvet feel to them! All the cards I do not have already, so these are great addition to my growing collection!

This one from another seller. I have not seen before, but now have! I love her lingerie!

Then, I also received my swap package from paperdolly! We swapped for this cute smiley face doll and two of my perfekta dolls!! She sent me so many goodies, I was in dolly heaven!! - ggsdolls

Two New Postcard Additions to My Kruger Collection!

A few weeks ago, I noticed that Sylvia had listed some new doll postcards in her shop and there were actually 3 other postcards I didn't buy from her, in my last purchase. Luckily, she reserved two of them for me! I received them in the mail today and here they are...

The second one from top is a lovely Hot Air Balloon romantic get away, just without showing the balloon. Still I think it's cute! The one on above that, I would've gotten in the first batch, but I didn't have enough money then. Though I must say I am still glad that I was able to get these two. I did however miss out on the wedding postcard which was also listed, and purchased right away afterwards! It showcased the blonde boy doll and girl in wedding garb sitting inside a nest?! Oh well, I will have to find it next time!

Then, I finally received some abjd stockings for my girls to go with their mod fashions!

This lovely pair of green stockings above top photo, and yellow below... - ggsdolls

New Addition to my Pefekta Wee Whimsie Collection!

She actually arrived to me earlier this past week. But lately, I've been just out of sorts and haven't really been taking doll photos or documenting my collections of items that come in the mail...ugh. Must be that time of the month-_-;

Anyhow, here she is a lovely Wee Whimsie named, "Love Me" or Luvver Duvver. She came with her original outfit, but sadly missing her shoes that glow and say, "Love Me". Still she is a great addition to my growing Wee Whimsies collection!

Missing a button on her coat and her shoes. Her hair is a bit nappy. But at least she still had her bow on her hair!
My 3 Wee Whimsies, ready for a shoot for my next postcard set!! - ggsdolls

Latest Lot of Items from Japan!

It's been quite some time since I've bought anything from Japan these days-_-; The yen to the dollar is just so bad for us here in the USA...but I did manage to snag a few items to be added to the shop and some keepers too! Yay me!
I found this cute purse case and will add it to the shop. Very Macoto stylishly cute, with mirror and lovely silver with plastic vinyl handles.
Also this Lot of 5 cute dime store dolls. They look a lot like Sunchan by Oike a clone maybe?? 4 blondes and 1 brunette in the Lot. Added to the shop!
I also found a new addition to this set of vintage licca doll necklaces. The one above center in the photo is the new one! All items will be added to the shop. I will also include a necklace for the new one!
I also won this poor wee whimsie "Altar Walter" in his original fashion. He was dingy, dirty, thank goodness he didn't smell. He might have been thru the tsunami?? photo above is not mine but from the auction. Unfortunately, his shoes were mixed with his bride and he has the wrong pair on-_-; I soaked him, cleaned him up and sadly, his whole outfit minus the shoes and collar, disintegrated in my hands! I am trying to see if I can fix it, but I doubt it. Still he is a great addition to my two doll collection now! See pic below... - ggsdolls

My Latest Lot of Kruger Postcards...

I was able to buy from Sillyshopping her Lot of vintage dolly postcards! She was such a sweetie and said I could buy them!! They were a bit more expensive then usual, but so worth every penny! So here they are...
Above, the cute boy and girl being asked to be proposed too. I love her blue pokadot dress, same dress as on the skater doll!
The card above is a fave. I love the seductive look of the redhead. Minus the smoking part...LOL!

Another sailor boy and girl love card. I especially like her dress and basket purse above.

Then my other ultimate fave is this swing with girl and boy being romantic. I'd love to find the swing in this card! Yes, I am obsessed with these dolls and cards...but it's all good!! - ggsdolls

Some Posing Fun Today!

I decided to redress the girls and have a bit of a photo shoot with them!
Here is my blonde girl, wearing Mattel's Sister Small Talk pj fashion. Her slippers are actually the brunette's original sandals! I noticed while redressing them, that this doll is more solid of the two dolls. I am guessing she is more original to the Italian brand than the brunette.

Above I redressed the brunette doll in the same line of Mattel Sister Small Talk doll fashions. This dress is one of my faves. Very groovy and psychedelic 60's to me. Her body is much more thin and rubbery compared to the blonde, maybe a copycat mold? Still I am happy to have them! More pics to come with these cuties...I need to name them! - ggsdolls

Replacing Doll Eyes and Lashes...

I decided to replace the doll eyes and lashes on the girl doll with black hair. Her pupil was coming out of one of the eyes. Poor thing. Then, I also decided to give her a bit of color and tried to redo her face. it took me some time, as I had the eyes, but not the lashes. I finally, picked up some on Wednesday and that nite into this morning I was able to work on her and get her done. If you'd like to read more about these dolls I did an earlier post about them here! I must admit I am smitten and I hope I am able to find more of them! With my latest searches I did find out that there were other companies that use the same if not similar body mold for these dolls. I found two via ebay with the same bodies!

Both girls above. Below left doll, you can see the replaced eyes and eyelashes. I just love their chubby faces, hands, and long legs! - ggsdolls

More Kruger Doll Postcards arrive!

Finally, the first postcard I fell in love with above arrived! When I first saw it on etsy, I just had to have it. Little did I realize I'd become smitten by the dolls in them and an endless search to find more of them! LOL! Talk about a new obsession...

This lovely postcard above. Is just too cute. Boy and Girl embracing, is what I call it.

Then, on the same mail day, I also received this postcard!

A boy and his dog, obviously, going to a bday party! I've seen the Steiff snobby dogs before, but didn't realize how small they were. Only the one's made for Lillis' but this one is a bit larger and he so sweet looking here! Now, I want one...eek! - ggsdolls

Vintage Doll Postcard by Kruger West Germany!

I have been smitten by these types of postcards. I first found one via etsy with a boy and girl doll. I am still awaiting that postcard to come in. But then, I also won this one via ebay UK and the seller sent it so quickly. There are several in this series of postcards, mostly with a romantic theme to them. Others are in playful themes too! Made by Kruger West Germany probably in the 60's according to most sellers. The dolls in them are not German-made dolls, but Italian! As soon as I saw the first postcard of a boy and girl. I remembered seeing these types of dolls before... but where?

Above is first of the postcards I had purchased, arrived in the mail today. This lovely card features a cute girl skating. The dolls used in these postcards have lovely flirty eyes with eyelashes, chubby hands and feet. But the legs are unusually long and thick! After seeing the cards, I immediately went into search mode and found a doll similar to them or quite possibly a doll just like the one's in the postcard! We shall see? - ggsdolls
