I started working on this cutie Yesterday evening... I was surprised to finish him up this morning?!
Another retro doggie creation using needle felting. This time I was a bit cleaner with his eyes, and body. I'm trying to do better with his nose and mouth. But even though I have an awl tool, it doesn't make the holes big enough for me to put the nose properly into the right spot. So, I end up having to needle felt the wool around it... ugh.
But, it is better than nothing...
I am waiting for more safety eyes and noses that are smaller in the mail.
I even got braided trim to use and I found jump rings with tags that I could personalize, all through etsy.
Earlier, Saturday we had to go uptown to do some errands, and I picked up a few items at the 100yen store!
Such a cute stand up card with bear above! Also, some more fabrics too!
The one in blue tones remind me of Orla Kiely designs! and also pink gingham print. I hope to use these for my creations...

Made a Friend! More Needle Felting Fun, Etc.
You know I had to make a friend to go with the retro boy bear I made! LOL So, here are some pics of Mrs. Bear!
When I started to make her, I told myself, I thought she'd be gorgeous in yellow, and she is!

Mail for Today and More Needle Felting Fun!
Here's what came in the mail today...
I found these amazing vintage cats in fork style for fruit cake, cheese, etc. Fondue stuff, I figured. I've seen them before on a friend's photostream, but to be able to find an unopened set? Whoa, nice.
Now, to find a vintage container to keep them in!? Ha.

Petite Chica is Here!
While ordering my birthday dolly wants, I was compelled to search up this cute little doll that looked a lot like Atomaru's Doran Doran?! What? Did she release a new dolly? Nope, in fact, Petite Chica is a small doll by another Korean doll artist, Chica Bonita!!
I was able to contact the website owner and purchase the doll directly! Yay me! She was a lot cheaper at $140 original sale price before s/h, Yes!! And Chica was so accommodating and helpful. My dolly arrived in less than two weeks!!

Needle Felt Creations & Mail!
Yes, I'm somewhat hooked on needle felting! I ordered more felting wool and needle felt tools to hopefully create some new cuties!? It's been slow, as far as mail arriving goes, but at least they are coming in...
I bought some felting wool from ebay, a better felting mat, a felting tool, and some safety eyes, and noses. Sadly, my measurements on safety eyes were way off, so some of the noses and the eyes were way too big, ugh!
I did create this cutie below with what I had though...

Obsessing Over Korean Made Dolls?! You're Not the Only One! Ha.
Oh boy, you are not the only one! I've notice the past two or three years now, there is a movement, of amazingly "cute", "to die for", Korean-made or created small dolls! It's driving a few of us collectors nuts, okay, maybe just a bit over-the-top, but it is! People, the struggle is real! Ha.
For those of us internationally, via flickr, IG, or what have you, many Korean doll collectors are showing off their cuties and making us drool over them, pining for one! Eeek!
One example is Atomaru's Doran Doran Aram dolls. I posted how you can buy one here. But, nowadays, she rarely releases internationally anymore. So, how does one obtain a Doran Doran doll? Sadly, in the secondary market! Through Yahoo Japan many can be found, even older releases, but be prepared to pay a hefty price! Like buying a BJD or a Vintage 1st Generation Licca chan doll or Pichi Pichi?! It's crazy! There are also a few on ebay, a lot less expensive, but still not the nice price we know she sells her dolls for... Ugh.
Photo below not mine Atomaru blog. All Rights Reserved.
These cute dolls are smaller to Licca or just a tad smaller, with cute faces, cotton candy hair, and just plain adorable. After Atomaru's lovely creations, more and more individual Korean Doll artists are just popping up everywhere! It's awesome, and we want their dolls! But, it can be incredibly hard to try to order one or find any up for sale, even in the secondary market. That's probably because many collectors in Korea don't resell their cuties, they keep them.

One of My First Loves, Drawing!
As a teen in the late eighties, I was trying to find myself, and one of my favorite pass times was drawing. I grew up loving art. My sister Lita drew, my older brother John drew too. I even recall my sister sitting me down at the age of 7 years old, showing me how she could draw a girl. Believe it or not, I still have that drawing! I fell in love with it, and kept it all these years. I guess seeing her love of art, encouraged me to love drawing too.
At 17 years old, I loved fashion and decided that I wanted to become a fashion designer. My designs would be called "Simply Gigi". I wanted it so badly, that I made a fashion book of sorts. I decided to take it out today and look through it...
The book, I bought from the book store at the University of Guam a year later, to compile my drawings into...

Amazing 1:12 Scale Fashion For My Busou!
I have been wanting this 1/12 scale fashion for over a year! I first saw it on a modded Busou Shinki of a friend's flickr page. His Busou is just so cute! More of his lovely dolls can be seen, here on his blog!
Wes' Busou is always dressed so cute! Sadly, I don't know who the maker is of the fashions? And her amazing 1/12 scale fashions for Busou Shinki's, that I've seen, only sells through Doll Shows and Miniature shows... So, I figured I would never get a chance to own any of her works... Fast forward to last week!
While browsing thru Mandarake, sure enough one of her fashions showed up! I was in shock, and immediately put it in my cart and purchased it. There are several other 1/12 scale fashions listed too, but this particular one is the one I've been wanting for the longest time! Yay me!
It arrived in the mail and I just had to quickly take some pics to share with you all!
