Why Kindness Matters...

... "Because you don't know what others are going through and being mean doesn't help either." ~ gg

May is here and so much has happened between then and now. We had a typhoon (Sinlaku) barely miss us, but sadly it still was strong enough to do damage on Guam, and I can almost imagine the damage it had on the other islands it hit directly. We had no cell service for a few days and no power. But luckily during the storm we had water and it didn't go out. Whew! We did survive this and it wasn't as bad as Mowar back in 2023. So I will not complain at all.

I did find a few items prior to and after the storm. Just 2 days before the storm the Japanese Spring Festival happened and I'm so glad Sara and I attended. We had a plan to get the items we wanted and it worked out well. It was a beautiful breezy day too and overcast with no rain, Yay! We won some fish for Taby, and I got two masks one for TJ and one for my wall. We watched the festivities and ate some food. But called it an early day and made our way home.

A few days after the storm, I took this photo below of the Korean Vodka Soju Apple flavor! It is definitely different. But I had to take a pic of it with Caleb from LADS. As it was fitting. If you know, you know! Haha! During the day with no cell service or power, we decided to work on a mechanical music kit that I was gifted back in December. Sara and I had a blast trying to get the pieces together.

Some parts was a bit trying, but mostly of it was fairly easy. Even the music box worked and the horses and lower section with the city scape moves as the carousel turns. It was so much fun getting it to work!! Sara and I had fun watching it come together and it was great for times like these after a storm and literally nothing else to do. Haha!

I even took out my Phomemo printer to make some cute stickers to add to my Rushton journal. It was fun and just adding some embellishments to the journal was relaxing to do. When power and cell service came back. We ventured to McDonald's and got the Huntrixx Happy Meal. Just once, because when we realized how much it was, it was not as worth it as we thought. We got a collectible card and the Ramen Fries were yummy for sure.

But that was about it and we both decided not to do that again. Oh well. Haha! My friend in Japan had sent a box prior to the storm and it arrived to me the week after and it was so needed. Because I was feeling a bit down and this box made my day! Inside, was this adorable Japanese Festival mask that reminds me of a Pose Doll or Kiichi Tsutaya's works. The mask had green hair and wore a red dotted scarf. I couldn't wait for her to be added to my Festival Masks Wall!!

My Festival Masks Wall updated above. The green haired gal came with two other masks a tiger and a bunny. I only had one hook and needed to get more, so I just hung up the tiger for now. My Masks wall is growing and I love how it all looks.

Lastly, this one of six retro Adelia cream soda minis. They are gacha and light up. I couldn't help but get myself a set. I love the design and retro feel they give. Also, it matches my mini GE Little Miss kitchen counter! I even brought my shaker with Meyercord decals out from storage to set this one up for display in my room. There are other items from my latest box, but I will show them next time.

That's all for now. Happy Thrifting my friends!!

Thank you for looking! ~ ggsdolls
