"Summer Has Come to Pass...

...The innocent can never last, Wake me up when September ends." ~ Green Day

The month of September has been quite thrilling thus far... My eldest child is another year older and my 2nd child is on her journey of motherhood. It has been a quite busy one at that. This past Saturday we welcomed our third grandchild into the world. This time, this grand lives on island! Yay! I'll get to enjoy the baby a bit more! So, I haven't really been thrifting these days. But a few things did make it into the store collection...

These adorable New/Old stock Noel Christmas ornaments were truly a cool find. Two soldiers and a clown, in mostly excellent to great condition. I've added them to my shop last week! All three are available for purchase. Below, a closer look at the Alice in Wonderland child hanger. So cute. I just love the graphics and can imagine a child's bedroom in Alice theme with this hanger on the wall! The hanger is also available!

Next, I couldn't resist this lovely Dolly costume from Dollskill. The dress comes with stockings, a hair bow clip, and heart locket necklace!! Just truly dreamy. I love the color combination. Great for Halloween this year too! I was on TikTok watching a few vids and came across the Jill Stuart lip stick line. I could not resist and though I don't wear make up, I had to get this adorable Bloom lip stick. Just look at how lovely the lip stick is as well, a flower shape and the colors are just dreamy. It's just gloss but I will use it mostly as a prop! Haha!

Lastly, I got these miniature Licca dolls in boxes key chains. Showcasing the 1st generation Licca doll,  through to the Licca doll from in the 90s! Just too cute for words. Below, I was commissioned to find a "Winky" skunk by Rushton, found him, but then the customer changed her mind about him. Ugh. But not to worry, there are always other buyers interested! So I listed him in my shop and he was snatched up and adopted quickly! Yay!

I hope your September is starting off wonderfully! Enjoy it! Because the year is going way too fast! Happy hunting guys!

Hickory Dickory Dock, The Mouse Ran Up The Clock...

..."The Clock Struck One, The Mouse Ran Down. Hickory Dickory Dock." ~ Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme.

August is on its way out... Here are some finds from the past week! Below, 1963 New York Expo Napco shakers, boy and girl repaired. Still a lovely vintage shaker set. They are just too adorable. I've added them into my shop and by the way, since Friday, I have been running a 25 percent off sale in my shop! check it out sale ends Monday, August 26th.

Above, this item is not vintage, I made sure to get myself a lovely handmade beaded "Shroom" bracelet by Acid Banana. Susie has so many cute beaded items and this one I just had to go for because of the lovely pastel colors. A great addition to my jewelry collection. Below, I got several vintage pieces from Japan. A lot with anime girl coloring books and memo, along with an Alice in Wonderland hanger still in its package!! Most of the items will be added to my shop.

This amazing find, Alice hanger, was what made me buy the lot. Faded, but still lovely. The hanger is mint in package and I removed it to clean up the hanger. Still with tag. She has some wear, but just too cute. I may decide to keep her. We will see... Haha!

The next few items are already listed in my shop, this lovely coloring sheets from the 1950s are unopened and I believe includes a paper doll and sheets to color. This lot of 9 Seika Brand coloring fashion doll overlay and memo notebook. My favorites because the dolls remind me of Lotte Pretty Lady Gum dolls. Kimiko Tanaka is the artist. The booklets are available in my shop, your choice with Free Shipping!!

A boys vehicle memo booklet case with memo pad, includes lovely art of different vehicles like a motorcyle, ship, train and spaceships, unused. Below another fashion doll coloring book also in my shop. These items are in unused condition and lovely for any collector!!

This adorable plastic toy compact, watch and lipstick set, comes with a mirror, brush, and necklace. I love vintage jewelry sets, this one I wanted for the lipstick and compact. Mostly because it reminds me of Max Factor compact and lipsticks. This is the first lipstick to look more realistic so it will make a great prop for my photos!! I have a second set that is in my shop if you are interested! Below, I worked on a glass bottle I got from the Goody store and added a Meyercord decal to it and bow. This bottle is also in my shop. It turned out lovely too!

Last but not least this adorable My Toy pink and white bunny with rubber head. I cleaned her up and added a bow. Her face was touched up a bit. She is already listed in my shop and ready to be loved. I hope you all had a decent August, now let's enjoy the holidays coming up...

Happy Thrifting Y'all!!

Humpty Dumpty Sat on a Wall...

This post has nothing to do with Humpty Dumpty, but I hope you still stick around for my latest finds?! LOL Below some things that I was playing around with and discovered...

I have these adorable Licca gum mini toy furniture pieces and realized that my anime girl game pieces I found last year, actually work well with the furniture!! Haha! I love this adorable closet with a clear suitcase inside and this lovely gal in a pink gown looks like she just finished getting dressed. Below, more of my anime game pieces around the same or similar size furniture pieces.

Next, I also support other sellers like myself and got this adorable Big eyed Candy Candy style music dolly from a fellow collector and friend in Thailand. I fell in love with this gal and just had to have her for my collection. Sweet starry eyed girl too. I also decided to get this adorable Dance Card with a lovely lady in her blue and pink dress from an Etsy seller. I think it was just simple and sweet and reminded me of the dance cards in the series Bridgerton.

Then, I purchased this adorable hand sewn Kitty pillow from a fellow collector and seller on IG. Jess always has so many cute things on her feed. Just being able to help other sellers by shopping with them too, makes me smile and I hope that someday they will shop and help support others, like myself. It is hard times for all of us, but just buying something however small helps those of us who are self employed and just trying to live. Here's to manifesting sales for my fellow resellers!!

I've had this adorable Queenie Quack for 2 months now. I am still trying to sell my first one in my shop if anyone wants to adopt her. This one I will keep for now. She is all original with her original bonnet. Just love her sweet face. I did not have to restore her. Yay! Below, a truly amazing ISO arrived! I've always lovely Ladymate music boxes and this one was one of my dream ones, when I saw it with a buy it now feature, I made sure to snag it, while I could!

This one has a posedoll princess and swan, so of course based on "Swan Lake" story. It plays "My Way" originally sung by Frank Sinatra. One of Sara's fave singers. I will definitely cherish this music box. I am not sure if it is missing a dancing ballerina or swan. But I will have to look for one to see if there is a magnet under the mirror on the left side. I'll update this post later on if it does. Here's my TikTok video below:

Thrift Finds...

We've been home since late July. Just trying to get back into the swing of things here. So let's take a closer look at the things I brought back from my trip and what was waiting for me when I got home!

The first antique mall we went to in Florida, if you recall I found this lovely baby rattle still mint in its original packaging. How adorable is he!! He's already listing in my shop. He is a Richard Krueger Baby rattle. Lovely original hand painted face too. Below, from the last antique shop we went to with three aisles of vintage fun! This adorable pink and blue plastic rattle with Bambi on it. This one I will keep for now. I simply love the colors and sweet chime toy sounds it plays when played with.

Before I left for the trip I got this adorable vintage Birthday party cut-out book. 1940s I believe, still in tact and in beautiful condition for its age. I could not resist the graphics on it and just had to buy it. Simply lovely and I can imagine Mother's preparing for a birthday party and using the cards and envelopes it came with!! Below, a lovely mint in box Marianne doll. She is a US version release of Chico Chan. Just love her eyes. She was already adopted and fast I might add!!

Finds waiting for me when I got back...  This lovely plush Easter duck above I adopted to resell from a fellow shop owner and friend on IG. The duck is just too cute with her bonnet and big eyes. She is already listed in my shop! Below a new to me Ellie wooden kitty paper doll with fashions made in the 80s. She is a lovely addition to my collection. I love the different outfits you can dress her up in! Loads of fun too!

I also found a mint on card hair clips with lovely gems and fake jewels on them. The card is in amazing condition for its age and the hair clips are lovely too. A few missing but still a lovely addition to any toy jewelry collection. This too is listed in my shop! Next, I found a rare Meyercord decal, the one with a bunny pulling a baby chick in the cart. I have seen it used in some wood pieces, but to find one still mint in its original sleeve, Yesss please!! Below a lot with two Mid Century Modern plushies, one in red and one in pink. I have the red bear listed in my shop already! The pink bear with stay with me for a bit.
While I was on vacation, I won this large pink furry "Slurp" plush. He is huge and I listed him in my shop and right away he sold too! Love me some funky monsters from time to time!! Haha! The Pinocchio doll after him, I just happened to find while doing my usual searches. He was in lovely condition and just needed a bit of a wipe down. After sharing him on IG, I got a lot of collectors who wanted him. I had not seen this version before. Sadly, trying to find out who made him was even harder. So I will have to dig a little more...

Lastly, these two mini antique plush bunnies. Stuffed with sawdust I believe, they are truly the cutest. I've seen many bunny plushies that were made in Japan, but none that resemble the plush bunnies like that by Jeebee or Genie Toys with the long ears and wires in them. These are so sweet and I love that fact that they don't take up much room at all! They are hard to find and can be costly I'm afraid. So I will just treasure the ones I do have.

Welp, that's all for now! Happy Antiquing!! Until next time!

Part 3: Going Down Memory Lane

Part 1 here! Part 2 here!  Our trip to Florida had ended and we made our way to San Antonio, Texas. We all have never been and our son, Tev was there! So we got up for an early flight to catch it. The flight was an uneventful one into Texas and we were safely on the ground!

Over San Antonio, TX

We made it into San Antonio that afternoon and my son was there to pick us up. We went straight to his apartment put our luggage, washed up and went to dinner. He took us to a place called, "Bubba's 33". No, not Bubba Gump, just "Bubba's". I ordered a lasagna dish, Sara a burger, and Sam tried something new with tatter tots! The food was really good. We all enjoyed it!

Afterwards, my son took us to a grocery store called, H.E.B. or "Here Everything is Better". He said it was a Texas brand store like Walmart, but even cheaper because most of the items that sell there are made right here in Texas! Nice! It was huge and reminded me of a Walmart and Costco rolled up into one. We got some groceries for our stay with Tev. Then headed home for the night. The next day, we had planned to go to The Riverwalk. But first, Monica a friend of my son wanted to do our nails... I opted out, but thanked her for the lovely thought. Sara got hers done! The process was quite long. So I stayed home whilst Sam, Sara and Tev went to the nail salon. Monica did such a wonderful job. She is a very experienced nail tech and does lovely work. You can contact her if you are in San Antonio via IG at memonicaelaine.

Sara chose the style and Monica created it with such an amazing look! Even the stars glow, shimmer and shine when you move left to right, how cool!! Does it remind you of any stop motion movie?! If you answered, "Coraline"?! You are right! Sara was very happy with the results. We then made our way to The Riverwalk and had to find parking first. Lots of people all over too. The Rivercenter mall in the same area was also crowded. We walked around and checked out the shops and saw some familiar ones. We did stop by an Anime shop and Sara tried her hand at a Crane game. No luck though. Darn. It was quite hot, whew! So we mostly stayed indoors. There was an adventure center with a fun rope course and zip lines, an IMAX movie theater, and restaurants.

A huge chair outside of the Rivercenter mall.

Inside the Rivercenter looking out towards the Riverwalk.

Sara looking on at the kids on zip lines, etc.

Afterwards, we headed outdoors to check out the river. Lots of people walking too! Sadly, my feet couldn't handle too far a walk so we headed back into the mall side and looked out for a place to have dinner. We found a place called, 'The Yard House'. Sam and I ordered ourselves an alcoholic beverage for a change, also because we weren't driving. Haha! It was good food, good company and a great way to end the day! Thank you Tev and Monica!

The next day, we decided to make plans for our travel back to Guam. But, on Saturday, July 20th, while we were up early and I was making breakfast, I was watching the news and they mentioned a glitch in the computer systems for the airlines. Something about an update to the system, had caused a shutdown of computers being used. So of course we were a bit panicked, because that caused system shutdowns for the airlines, we saw bags being sent to one place and stuck there. I also heard banks were shut down as well. Sam watched his chat group for work and luckily Guam was not affected too badly. In fact, while in the states the airlines canceled, but on Guam it was minor. Sadly, that basically meant we could not leave out as planned on Sunday. Ugh.

My Coconut drink at the Yard House!

So, we decided to just keep an eye on flights for now, and instead made a plan to go to The Pearl in downtown San Antonio. By the time we got there it was mid day. The early morning markets had closed and finding a parking was not as easy as we had hoped. Sam also wanted to go check out The Alamo as well. We found a street parking which was a lot cheaper and walked to The Pearl. Lots of shops and a park surrounding the area. It was sunny and hot. Most of the shops are outdoors, so it was lovely to see. We got ice cream and took a break from walking to decide what the plan was next. Way too hot to be outdoors, so next we went to the North Star Mall for lunch and a bit of shopping. I did not take any photos or videos while there. It was so crowded and so we just ate at the food court and then went home. Sadly, parking for the Alamo was way too expensive so we decided not to go there either.

Blueberry ice cream break!

Beautiful outdoor shopping at The Pearl!!

We rested a bit and just looked at the sights around the area.

We even saw some girls dressed in gowns!

On Sunday, flights were still a bit chaotic so we decided not to leave until maybe Monday or Tuesday depending on how well the backup cleared from those canceled flights. Luckily, no report of an major cancellations for United. So for Sunday, Tev decided to take us Antiquing. We found parking right across the street from the antique shop which boasted 3 floors of vintage downtown!! And parking was not like the other day, it was cheaper! Yippee! So we headed towards the antique store and went in...

3 floors of vintage!!

Lovely Japan lipstick holder.

We saw a lot of interesting things, but nothing that I wanted to take home, sadly. It was still lovely to see though and boy was that a lot of walking as well. When we were about to leave, we decided to go into this coffee shop for a break and decide what we would do next. At Archie's Coffee shop, we enjoyed an ice coffee or two. I told Sam and Tev that they could go ahead and walk further down the street, Sara and I would stay in the coffee shop to relax and wait for them. Not even 5 minutes passed after they walked out, that they came back in saying, we were just a block away from The Alamo!! Yup, the place Sam wanted to see yesterday but we couldn't because of parking. Yay! So we left immediately towards The Alamo!

Silly Clown satin carnival plush.

An adorable High Chair w bear planter!

We walked about half a block or so and sure enough as we turned the corner, and around the building there was The Alamo! Lots of people walking around or sitting. There was ticket booth for the Church tour, and vendors. It was just as I pictured after looking it up online. Haha! Sam just took off and started taking photos. Sara and I searched for a spot to sit and relax while Sam ventured around. Tev and Monica stayed close by us. After about 45 minutes, we decided to walk around a bit, especially after we saw a sign that said "Ripley's Believe It or Not!"

My coffee at Archies!

Sara unwillingly taking a photo! LOL

Sam and Tev enjoying the sights.

The church at The Alamo, crowded with visitors.

The Fortress wall by the Church.

Monica and Tevin by the Church/Alamo.

We made our way into Ripley's. The first side we had entered was for a paid ride through and expensive. So we went into the other side. That side was for a walk through for Louis Tussaud's Waxworks. At first, we just sat and enjoyed the a/c. But then Sara and Sam decided to go in and do the wax museum tour. The rest of us sat and waited. Sam said it was okay and was not happy that most of it was like a haunted house and very claustrophobic. They both enjoyed only the first half of it. Sara was traumatized by it. Oh my... We made our way back to the car and back to Tev's apartment for the night. It was a long day with lots of walking.

Entrance into Louis T's wax museum.

A coin game beside where we were sitting.

By Monday, we decided not to leave until Wednesday. So Monday we stayed in and just relaxed enjoyed Tev's apartment and played games. We even had lunch delivered, and on the last evening ate at Bubba's 33 for the last time. It was just a day of vegging out. LOL We tried to leave Tuesday morning, even set our alarms for it and when I opened the app for United, the flight out of San Antonio for Houston, was canceled due to weather. We only saw that a Cold Front was coming. So that was a bit of a downer. By Wednesday, the flight out of San Antonio was looking way better. Tevin dropped us at the airport we all hugged and said our goodbyes and thank yous. We made it to our gate and sat. Then when we were boarding, they had us leave back out the jetway because the airplane tire needed to be changed out. We got worried thinking we may not leave. But after about 45 mins. We were allowed to board again. We landed into San Francisco, and then made it on that flight Polaris style into Narita, Japan! Yippee! Almost home!! Our last leg into Guam was uneventful and we arrived safely onto Guam at about 10pm on Thursday night.

Vtg rattles, Doll, and wood Kitty paper doll.

Taby picked us up from the airport and we were glad to be home. Our summer adventures came to an end. It was an awesome walk down memory lane for Sam, thrifting for me and shopping for Sara! LOL Thanks to our children and grandson, Max, Kalani and also Tevin and friend Monica for making our summer trip the most enjoyable time this year. We already miss you all!! Above, are just a few items I brought home. Some keepers, some for the shop!
