Anthropomorphic Finds!!

For some, you are probably wondering what the heck does that mean, for others, your like, oh yeah, okay! Well, Anthropomorphic means according to the Dictionary - relating to or characterized by anthropomorphism or having human characteristics. So basically, I found some cute things with human-like features and here they are...
I received this pastel colored kitty planter with blue daisy. I've already listed him in my shop. But, I may instead add some fur to him. He just seems so plain and I noticed he's a bit awkward to me. He comes with his original Relpo made in Japan sticker, and in lovely condition too. I've even added a pink ribbon to him. I fell for his pastel colors. Haha!

Next, this awesome and a bit freakishly weird bear? I want to say or is it a mouse? I'm just in love with it!! A vintage ceramic plaid bear with bows wall pocket. I could've sworn I've seen him before... but just can't recall where? Ugh. I believe there is a pair, because generally they come in 2s. I spotted her via Etsy, and she was a there a few days with no takers. So, I adopted her and she arrived so quickly and safely too. Now, to try to find her partner...

Last, this lovely Swimmer Brand Cinderella Glass Shoe ring holder. I saw it a few weeks ago too. But then, decided to get it. I love the glass slipper look and I could use to hold some vintage toy rings also! Have a beautiful Father's Day Weekend Y'all!!

Banned Retro!!

I recently purchased a purse through ebay called, "Banned Retro," brand from UK. I wasn't sure what to expect, other than the color being pink and the style catching my eye when I saw the stock photo. I was afraid it was going to be like a small coin purse or something... I first saw it back in April, and the only one available sold out, before I got a chance to buy it. Ugh. So, a month later, Ebay showed me that another was available for purchase. This time I didn't wait, I bought it!!

I'm so glad I did!! This purse is awesome and so retro! Just like the 1950s, it has the pink vinyl look of a small handbag. But, its bigger, and even comes with a longer strap, should you want it to be a shoulder bag. Yesss! Inside, a zippered pocket and adjacent are two pockets to hold your phone, pens, etc. On the backside of the purse is a zippered pocket for your keys, lipstick, etc. I love the pink lining side and the vinyl bow on the front is just so kitschy cute, OMG!!

The little zipper pull has a heart and says, "Dancing Days Banned." I can't wait to use it. It even came in a biodegradable bag. It comes in Black, Pink, and Green. Definitely worth the money spent, which isn't like a coach bag, whew. Haha! Next, I received a lot of four Marx style Gogo girls with accessories. I have already added to my Etsy shop. The Campus Cutie types, have a stand, and come with 3 wigs, 3 hats, and 3 accessories which include an umbrella and two purses. They are great for your dollhouse or to use as props with your miniature 1/12 scale furniture. I love that you can change out their wigs!

Next, I also received this mini vintage perfume bottle titled, "Blue Waltz". I love the styling of the bottle and will use it as a prop in my photos. A great addition to my end table and all the little treasures I have displayed on it. Last, was this awesome win from Yahoo Japan, a vintage Takara Chichan pendant mirror necklace. In lovely used condition, it was just adorable and I can't wait to use the diamond shaped eye glass and mirror to create magical photos with!

Few Finds In...

It's been a busy week for our guesthouse and not so much for online finds. But, I was able to get a few things in this week, and here they are...

This is the 2nd time I found this lovely vintage mod girl figurines set by Enesco. These figurines are in better condition then the last ones I bought. They are lovely and just need a bit of cleaning and a way to fix the girl in the green top's hair, its just that her ponytail hairs came loose. Both found with their original Enesco stickers still on and the markings, "E-8241". They will be added to my Etsy shop later today.

I also found these two item via an online Japan shop, a pink closet version of the Bandai Everyone's House furniture set. It also comes with three hangers. I will add this to my dollhouse furniture pieces. Next, I finally found a Licca 2nd generation tin rose stand. I've been wanting this tin stand for awhile now, and one of the reasons I went ahead and bought these two pieces so that I could make shipping worth it. LOL The 2nd Gen. Licca chan doll has magnetic shoes, so she came with this red rose tin stand to help her stay upright. I just wanted the stand for display purposes for my smaller magnetic toys, like my dancing ballerina.

I received this love handmade stripe set of wood candles from my dear friend roseandpoodle on IG. I couldn't believe how kind she was to include this gift for me. I love this version of stripe candles, they will be a great prop in my photos too! Thank you my sweet friend from Japan!! I made sure to send her a gift as well. Our collecting community of friends are the best, when we are being kind and show love to one another. Yippee!

I then, decided to find and buy one of these vintage 1996 Burger King Toy Story Bo Peep tops. Still mint in package, I found it on Ebay. I fell in love with the cute Bo Peep. I just had to have her as a prop in my collection. She still spins too! Especially since, the new Toy Story movie will come out soon! I remember when the first movie came out, my eldest, Tevin was just 5 years old! I made sure to get him the talking Woody also from Burger King! Of course he out grew Woody and life goes on, Ahhh, memories. My son, is 27, going on 28. My how time flies!

Last, I was playing around with my half doll, and added a ribbon to her waist, and then a ribbon necklace too. She is my favorite these days... At some point I will work on getting out some dolls from storage to add to my shop soon. I have a few MIP dollies that need to be adopted, along with some other vintage goodies from my collection. Have a great weekend everyone!

Half Doll Completed, Perhaps...

I shared with you here, the Half Doll made in Japan, after looking at her closely. Then, here in this post, after making her into a pin cushion. Today, I had to do some errands uptown and decided to stop by Mark's Hardware. I needed to find some pompoms, ribbon and maybe some ruffles or lace. When we left, I had only found one item, the ruffles. I purchased 2 yards and brought it home. I had sewn the ruffles onto the pink satin cushion part of the half doll and now, she looks like she matches with the pin cushion better! Don't you think?

I was able to sew on the ruffles without too much trouble. Now, she looks as if she was wearing a ball gown from the early 19th Century. I may add a necklace to her. She now sits atop my end table beside my bed to be admired. I may touch up her lips too...
Now, if only I could bring myself to cleaning her top. It's just so delicate, I'm afraid, it may just disintegrate. Ugh!
