Finds From Early March

Here's finds from earlier this month...

Found this lovely vintage Princess Music Jewelry box. I love the gold tone design along with the filigree lace style design. The mirror can even swivel or be removed! Inside lovely red velvet and sectioned drawers for your rings, brooches or necklaces. I will be adding this one to my collection for now.
Below, some vintage 1940s children's blocks with decals. I've always wanted a set, but they can be very pricey depending on the style of the decals and the number of blocks. This set is simple and the decals are just too cute. My fave being the yellow triangle and the two green blocks with bunnies on it.

While at Donki earlier this week, Sara and I saw hair color packages with "Blythe" on them!! Just check out the rack! All with adorable Blythe dolls on the front of the hair color boxes, and in different styles too! How cool, some colors named, Cream Chiffon, Macaroon, and Bleach.

Below, two cute Flower Knows brand items. The first, is a lip gloss in the shape of a strawberry cake. There are three styles, a white cake, a red cake and this one below a pink cake. I love the design and cuteness for sure. It makes for great props in photos too! I also got myself a new second hand iphone and bought this furry case. Mostly just for fun! I don't plan on using it exclusively, because it isn't very good quality-wise for protection from dropping your phone. Haha!

Below, the cute compact from the Gatcha machine I got at Aeon Mall. I was hoping to find Flower Knows gatchas and sure enough found one machine with them. I only got the one, a number two named, "Daffodil Lily". I also found, while searching the aisles at Daiso Aeon, this adorable bear applique!

I saw it sitting on the shelf as someone just left it in the sticker aisle. I tried to look for more but couldn't find any more. This applique is big too, I will have to decide if I will apply it onto something or just keep it for display... Sweetest bear for sure!

I caved and got this lovely wall plaque of a taxidermy style plush bunny. It is so cute and I love the way this shop owner makes them,  and they sell fast too! She often upcycles vintage plushies and toys. Last, I found these crane prize set of Swimmer Flannel Pillows. They are already listed in my Etsy shop. The blue bear sold out already.

I hope you are having a decent March? Keep hunting for treasures you love and mostly the things you find affordable.

"A Hunting We Will Go, A Hunting We Will Go...

...Heigh Ho, the dairy-o. A Hunting we will go!" ~ composer Thomas Arne.

Vintage hunting for finds is always, at least almost always therapeutic for me! So here's what I found recently...

I found these not vintage but cute items from Japan. Another Ayumi Uyama miniature posedoll princess above, I listed in my shop and she sold right away! Below, a lovely posedoll princess case with jewelry accessories inside. Also, a book case, that includes toy jewelry as well. I just love vintage Okura Toy accessories. They remind me of my childhood so much! Glad to see these items finding their forever homes too!

I also found these Ayumi tins. Both have been listed in my shop! Just look at those cute Bunka dolls on front. A vintage Bijou Eater bunny in floral pastel design. Just adorable and she plays music too. Always fun to find a plush that is unique.

My favorite, this hot pink container. The top can be changed out so, I put some adorable Meyercord cuties on the front! Lovely container to hold your jewelry! I was able to find this rare Gunderful Chime Bunny, still lovely too. She is also listed in my shop. I love her blue eyes!

When I shared my Kubrick Pink Blythe last month I got a few people interested in getting one. So I found more for the shop! They are just amazing and hard to find too! This adorable Columbia Toy's blue Easter Chick. I added a bonnet to her which can be removed. She is also added to my shop.

I recently saw these Gatcha retro albums and I am so happy I got them. There are five in this series, a red album with a bear, a yellow with a fawn, a blue with a squirrel, a green one with a puppy, and a pink album with a bunny. Each made of vinyl and cardboard with three pages inside for you to add Purikura photos inside. Just too adorable. I've already added them to my shop!

I even made a video about them. I will definitely be using mine to add cute photos inside it!! Below, a closer look at the before and after of my blue bear by Rushton!!

I love his face mold, the same face mold of the large panda. This blue bear is a rarity! Well, that's all for now!

Happy Thrifting!

New Year More New Old Finds...

Hey guys! Some amazing finds arrived this month...

Lots of plushies too! I found this adorable Cuddle Plush Girl doll by Rushton and she's already in my Etsy shop!! She was all original, only thing I added was the pink satin bow on her neck. The bow on her hat is all original too! Love her chubby hands!! She's looking for a new Mommy!

I also found this adorable giraffe by Lovable Toys. As soon as I listed him in my shop. He sold fast!! Has similar fur print like that of Daisy May cow by Rushton. Definitely a unique cutie. I restored this lovely Knickerbocker Pinocchio for myself. I have seen him before and just love his face and style. He is like Pinocchio as a human boy! It was fun to try to bring him back to life!

I also restored this adorable My Toy Lion plush. He was filthy and needed a major washing, actually several washes to be exact. I removed his stuffing and gave him cotton batting. Now he is good as new and ready to be loved again! Below, I snagged this adorable Rushton blue pup from Kaylasunshine's live sale! Cleaned him up and now he is ready to be loved as well. So far, I have found a total of 3 laughing pups in my lifetime! Haha!

This rare sleep eyed cute is also by Rushton but and earlier release perhaps around the early 50s. Sadly, he has the dreaded "Plastic Degradation" on his face, but I think he is still cute. I also did a video on Tiktok talking about the issue once again. I don't believe the disease carries over to other plushies unless you place him into a container and close it with other normal rubber face plushies.

@ggsdolls_vtg My lastest Rushton find w plastic degradation 🄹 But i still love himšŸ˜šŸ©µšŸ©·šŸŽ€ #ggsdolls_vtg #ggsdolls #plasticdisease #plasticdegradation #rushton #rubberface #plush #vintage #kitsch ♬ Mariposa - Sam Miller

Some goodies from Japan as well. I love these anime ladies above. I believe they are game pieces to a dating game from the 1950s or 60s. They remind me of the Lotte Gum paper dolls. I also found another Shoujo manga encyclopedia and this one is from 1975. I have it listed in my shop already too!

This cutie had a buy it now option and I snagged her. I've seen her before, but just can't place where. I believe on instagram, and from another fellow collector's page. She is the sweetest! I have always wanted a Kubrick Blythe doll pink haired figure. They are often very hard to find and can be quite expensive. So I found this one on an online shop and it was cheap!! Yay me. She is definitely a keeper! Haha!

This lovely Chalkware bear wall plaque and mod lady coin bank below are already listed in my shop. Just love finding things that may be something others are searching for!! Both in lovely condition too!

This adorable doll looks like a larger version of Takara's Chichan friends or Chika chan dolls. Her name is Ichigo chan and comes in her original box. I've already listed her as well in my shop. Below, my lovely huge posedoll was taken out of storage and I found out that I could redress her in other dolly fashions!! Yay! So here she is in a lovely Premier Doll 1950s pink dress. Just right for the Valentine Holiday season!!

I also found another Nottingham lace dresser box set, this time in white that I will use on my mid century dresser unit. I just love the style and nostalgic vibes it gives...

Thanks for stopping by and reading my little blog. Happy treasure hunting guys!! ~ ggsdolls
