Believe You Can...

..."and you are halfway there." ~ Theodore Roosevelt

It has been a month of finds and getting back to normal since our mini getaway and life moving forward. So, here are some goodies I've found...

Her name is "Her Prettiness" Powder Bubble Bath by Avon 1960s. I just happened upon her while searching for items. I fell in love with her blank face and hairstyle. On the box it says you can color in her eyes and mouth and create her look. The one I found was not opened and still had the original maroon ribbon inside. Sadly, the crayons are missing. But I had decided that instead of painting her face, I will leave her blank. I like her face as is. I did make her a ruffles lace choker with gem as seen below.

Next, Sara got herself a toy hammock, so I found one for my room as well. I just need to add plushies to it. I love the teal color and how it just pops in this space! It worked great for this corner too of my little room! Below, I got this acrylic stand holder for those anime acrylic or dolly stands from Daiso. Instead I used it for the Pretty Lady paper dolls I made. They are now on my dresser!! Yippee!

Earlier this month I found this lovely Totsy Unopened Pink sheer vintage dolly dress. It fits most 19 - 21 inch dolls. So naturally I had to get it for Alice and sure enough it fits her just right too!! How cute is she below!!

Than, I received in the mail from Japan this lovely huge vintage plush fawn. So adorable and in lovely condition for its age as well. I have already added it to my shop! She is huge so shipping will have to cost a bit more sadly.
Last, this adorable Hello Kitty Licca Chan Vacation dolly. These were released over the summer and when I saw her I immediately thought of Pichipichi friend of Licca from the 60s!! Sadly, they are quite expensive to get nowadays, but this Hello Kitty version is way cheaper!! So, I received her safely from Japan and already tried a few of my Club 67 Licca chan retro fashions on her!!

She is just too cute and a great addition to my little dolly collection. Well that's all for now. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead and happy thrifting or dolly hunting my friends!!

Kindness is Free.

... "Sprinkle that stuff everywhere!" ~ Unknown

Gosh, March is already on its way out! Here's some things I found the past few weeks...

I found this cutie rubber doll in blue pajamas and hat sucking on her pacifier from a Japan shop site. I've seen this one back in early 2000s and she was sought after than. But I guess not as much today. She is already listed in my shop. And she's in excellent condition. The ones I've seen before were always in poor condition! Haha! Below, I was doing some searches on Daiso items and found this set of two doll plush pajamas. I am hoping to use them on my Babymilu!! Haha!

Above, I won these vtg wooden cute retro animal cutouts on Yahoo Japan auctions. I love these wood toys mostly because they are so cute displayed with my decor. They are definitely cutouts from a retro Japan fabric and than someone sealed them onto wood cutouts. Love them so very much too! NFS.

I also got this Lot of vintage seal stickers mostly for the anime girls haha! I have a few stickers seals that are from this era so I had too! At some point I hope to have a place to display them in. As I mentioned a few posts back, I have been loving scrapbooking and journals from Japan. I found this one that included a lot of retro anime girl or heroine stickers and cutouts. One of my faves.

I've always seen these miniature books from the 60s that were prizes from Cracker Jack! As a kid I've always hoped I could find a book inside as a prize. But it was mostly a joke card, sticker or game. So I found these two for cheap and got them just to feed the kid inside me. LMAO! So cute!! I love the artwork on them as well. They remind me of Mary Blair!!

These little books are complete stories and even have illustrations in them! There's a whole set, but I only got the two. Below, I found this lovely mint in package toy instrument set! I love the bears on the tambourine and the flower whistle is just too cute! The set is also listed in my shop!
Welp that's it for now. I hope you are able to thrift some awesome items for yourself or your shop too! Have a lovely weekend ahead my friends!

"LOVE ALL, TRUST A FEW..."

..."DO WRONG TO NONE." ~ WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

It's been a minute... My birthday month has begun!! Yippee! It has been a relaxing and festive one so far. I had a few items come in the past few weeks and here they are...

Locally, I went to New Neverland and couldn't resist this adorable Kitty purse!! I got myself the gray one. Yes, I know surprisingly. Haha! He is so soft and fluffy. I just had too!

I decided to get this adorable vintage Ohio Art toy drum, because it has the cutest bear graphics on it and it would also made a great display stand on my dresser! A few nicks here and there but nothing serious. It arrived quickly and was cheap too! So no complaints here!! Haha!

Here's where I displayed it along with my sweet bear! Below, I was trying to get the KFC Love and Deepsspace toys they had of the Chibi character Caleb. Sadly, Rafayel was the only one available. So I got him. These are hard to come by because KFC China is the only ones selling these there. Not anywhere else. Still happy I got him! And the shop seller even added a gift!! I love it!

Next, is this adorable journal made by an artist in Japan. Journaling or scrapbooking is very popular there too! I love the vintage toys and paper items in it. Yup, it comes already with all these cute journal additions. Lately, I'm getting into them and wanted a close up of how they are styled and made. Now, that I know, I hope to make journals for myself with all the items I love! More information on that soon!! Just love the way this one is styled for sure!!

I could not resist this adorable Showa Play House bag plushies! I only wanted the blue bunny. But I love how they are in tin cans you can also keep! Very Showa Era Kawaii too!! The makers also have larger plush versions! I am trying to resist buying more!! Haha! Below, I decided to redress mine and add a bonnet to her! Their eyes reminds me of Happy Sachiyo's works a bit or Fairytown's plushies!

Than, I found this lovely minty pillow animal on the bay!! It is a crib hanging toy with bell. I love this Dingle-Lion. His fabric is very much from the 70s style pillow fabric I grew up with and his mane is so vibrant! I simply love him!

I found these adorable sitting rubber cake dolls I believe. Their faces look a lot like Sun-chan dolls by Oike, but sadly there are no markings. So they may be made in China or Japan. Definitely 70s and they each hold forget me not flowers and their heads can twist. I will add two dolls in my shop soon! I will only keep the pink one.

Lastly, this adorable pink 70s mini plush bunny by Animal Toys. I love his felt tulip eyelashes and he's all original. Definitely 70s with the foam stuffing and the fur feel. Assembled in Haiti it is quite unique and I love his coloring. A lovely addition to my little collection!

Well, that's all for now and I hope you find great vintage things you love too!

A Toy a Day...

... "Keeps Sadness Away." ~ Unboxingtoys

Tariffs are causing so much chaos these days. Sadly, many countries that have tariffs with the United States, have decided to stop mailing to buyers in the U.S. Ugh. I've watched the past few days on IG of other collectors and creators outside of the United States, post about this very situation. They are not sure how buyers will be expected to pay for the 10 - 50 percent tariffs depending on their country. Mind you this is just on items that cost about Eight Hundred dollars or less!!

I've prepared myself since my last box from Japan back on August 13th. Because I knew that if I bought any other items in Japan, and when I'd be ready to ship, there might be problems arising on how the tariffs will be collected and how much that might be. Luckily, I prepared myself and stopped buying for my shop via Japan since that date. Because now, I got notices from my friend in Japan. She first told me there was going to be about forty-two dollars and fifty cent customs and clearance fees for items being shipped to the U.S. from Japan.

Than the next day, she was told that shipments to the U.S. will be temporarily suspended for now. Oh my gosh! What?! Trust me, I knew it would be crazy, but suspended?! I was not expecting that!  Today, she told me that now, a Duty Prepay will be done prior to shipments to the USA. So basically, depending on how you are shipping your items to your place in the states, there will be a twenty percent tariff rate based on the total invoice amount. So for example, you bought about a Twenty-five dollar total amount, you will pay an extra five dollars or if your total invoice is five hundred dollars, than the DDP or Duty Prepay will be one hundred dollars more! Ugh!

It will have to be the new norm. I foresee more Japanese, Korean, and Chinese items we use here on Guam costing more for all of us, and people will buy less and less except for what is needed versus what might be wanted. WELP! Thanks for listening to my rant on this chaos.

On to more positive things I guess...

Alice3 on the left and Alice1 in matching dresses.

Alice3 is on her way to her new Mommy! She has been the most fun to create and I love how she turned out. Below, some Story Book Nancy Ann dolls, that I will add to my shop soon! Lovely little bisque dolls.

Next, this adorable Pink coin purse with a Meyercord bunny on it. Just like the decal!! She was just too cute too I had to have it! Can you remember which decal it is of?

I also bought some doll fashions for Alice1 and for some other dolls in my collection. Alice can fit the pink gingham bloomers. the striped dress and romper I have added to my shop!

Below, this adorable Bunka bunny! I've already added to my shop. I actually got this cutie back in early August with my last box. I just needed time to work on photos and listings. I've been sick with a cold and cough the past week and so has my grandchild. So a lot of the items you see were also from around that time frame. Haha!

Bento box above is just too adorable as well. I also have this item available for adoption in my shop! Below, I had originally found this for my shop, but this vintage musical sewing machine is just too cute and I have some great items that I can set up with it to display in my room!! Haha! So it will stay with me for now!!
It's a rattle toy and when you turn the handle the colored balls inside the center turn and make sounds. Just too funny and cute!! Love it! Below, my last item for this post, a composition Patsy type or wood dolly just like my first Japan jointed doll in this post here. She was up for auction and I won her. She has a missing arm, but I was able to fix her and give her a somewhat temporary arm. Added the pink dress and she's ready to be adopted!!

She is a sweetheart for sure! Well, I hope you all have a lovely rest of your August and thread lightly on your thrift finds should they be from outside of the USA! See you next month!

The Real Trouble with The World...

..."Too Many People Grow Up." ~ Walt Disney

Hello August!! Here's what I found along the way...

I've seen this adorable plush dolly via IG and finally found the creator and where to buy her. Her name is Super Berserk Coco 200 percent. She reminds me of Blythe and a Labubu all rolled up in one!! Created by G Guo Dolls or Fantastic Beasts. Coco is a super sized plush bear or little girl wearing a bear costume. Just too cute. I was able to get one and she arrived super fast!

She came in a green bag with box showcasing Coco or Bonbon who is in pink. She can fit some baby doll clothing. I loved trying on several doll outfits to see what she'd look cute in!! My fave below!!

Next, I found a lot of three containers which had two Swimmer brand items and one from Daiso. This adorable bear case is great for holding trinkets or other cute things. I've already added it to my shop! Then, lovely poodle canister, great to hold jewelry or perhaps things for the kitchen! Also added to my shop and available!

Last of the items in the lot, is this adorable pink jeweled quilted purse case. Made by Daiso, it opens by twisting the heart jewel at the top to unlock the purse. Great for holding makeup or other fun trinkets!! This one I kept for myself! I just love it!

I couldn't resist these adorable Penny's Box Antu plush bag dolls. The ones I got are the little fox and puppy. I love their colors and what's neat is that you can remove or interchange their heads on the bodies and their capes as well. I believe there are doll figures too!

Next, I found this adorable Premier dolly fashion. I was hoping to have my Alice wear this, but sadly, it is too small for her. Darn! Oh well, it will work on other dolls I have. Still a lovely vintage piece for sure!! Lastly, this adorable "Die erste Locke" or 'First Baby Tooth holder'. I just couldn't resist it. I won't use it for a tooth, but instead other things! LOL! Love the little face and freckles!
I hope your August is beginning on a great note!

Wishing you all "Happy Thrifting"!! Until next time!
