New Year, New Finds!

Happy New Year to you all my fellow Thrifters, collectors and friends! I hope 2026 has hope and more finds for you this year!!

December was so busy with my daughter Taby's nuptials, and my new grandson Ivyn, that I had absolutely no time for anything else!! But I did find some lovely vintage items, and some not vintage, but adorably cute things as well. So here they are...

I still often search through Japan sites when I can, for vintage goodies that catch my eye and this one was too cute to pass up. It's a celluloid sewing kit!! Lovely bunny art on the front cover and inside, it holds another pink celluloid container for needles, etc., an adorable matchbox that can also hold other sewing notions, a pink card with flower and a pair of scissors. I have listed this adorable vintage piece in my shop already! If you want to check it out!

I also was watching the QLY page on IG and they finally released the Light Little Bear doll!! So adorable and affordable too! So I had to get one! He is just too sweet and made of bisque with dress, and card. Little bear will go on adventures with me I hope!! Haha! I even dressed him up in Heidi by Remco fashions. Well only those dresses that can fit! Haha!

Next, I found that you can purchase these adorable mini condiment plates by Swimmer Japan!! These adorable ceramic plates have such cute style art on them that remind me of Meyercord decals!! I had to get a set of these for my collection! I also got a 2nd set to add to my shop. The elephant sold already, but the pony and bunny plates are still there! Be sure to check it out in my shop!

I also happened upon this adorable vintage celluloid pink bonnet rattle toy on Ebay! I quickly purchased it as it reminded me of my Plakie blue bonnet rattle. This one is just too cute for words and so I added a satin bow to her! Than, this set of felt anime girl fabric and needle pillow was found via Japan. It is handmade and I just couldn't pass up for the anime girl art on it. Basically the anime girls I believe are from fabric and the artist glued it onto felt fabric and a felt needle pillow. Just too cute!!

Also, I found a lot of paper ephemera online in Japan. I bought the lot and oh my goodness, so many goodies in the Lot. Below is just a portion of what I got. Paper dolls with adorable Shoujo anime girl dolls. One is holding a children's book. The other two would be great for framing! I have always wanted to find some vintage paper dolls so this was the next best thing!! Yippee!

Below also from the Lot this set of boy and girl paper dolls!! Sadly, their heads were decapitated, so I fixed them! Nothing good ole' laminate paper couldn't fix!! I've always wanted this particular set of paper dolls, because they are just Shoujo Perfection!! They even came with two fashions each. I will have to laminate as well to keep them from fraying or getting ruined. I simply love them!! I definitely feel so happy to have them in my collection! Blessings for sure!

When these paper dolls show up immaculate they can cost upwards of fifty dollars plus!! Ugh! Often really hard to get cheap. Ugh! Below, I finally had a chance to stop by my favorite 100yen stores on island! Goody and Daiso!! Here's what I got...

At Daiso above, I found a case that can hold paper dolls or acrylic display dolls for travel, a case to display jewelry and other items that came with a stand, some felt roses, and cardboard gold hearts! On my 2nd trip just the other day also from Daiso below, I found this large silly chicken that squeaks and his head turns too, more carnation flowers, stickers, light up heart rings, a paper doll case, sticker case, and 2026 calendars, one that is a bouquet and other that are two kitties!

Lastly, from Goody Store, two daisy child shades for my plushies or dolls, origami paper, more stickers, and a clear file binder. I am going to start on a journal project and hope it turns out, more on this later...

Welp! That's all for now! Gosh it is already January 9th! Happy Hunting!

Life is What Happens...

..."When you are busy making other plans." ~ John Lennon

Summer is just about over here for us on Guam. School starts early next month. So let the new school year begin!

Here are some finds recently...

vtg wire plate wall mount.

I was searching for a way to display my vintage Valentine's Chocolate box. Then it dawned on me I could either make a wall holder for it or buy one? But what was even easier was to find a vintage plate wall mount!! This one was perfect! It's made of a strong wire metal and shaped into hearts at the ends. Of course meant to hold a plate, but instead I used it to hold my box!! It was perfect!! Definitely happy with the way this turned out! Yay!

This is a special Aqua Valentine's Chocolate Box!

Next, this adorable Animal Rummy card deck, that came unopened. I have a small collection of adorable Whitman card games with adorable animals in each of them!! This is a lovely set! A great addition to my collection too! My faves are the bunny and bear!

Just look at these adorable animals!!

Below, after a month it finally arrived a 2nd version of the vintage Bandai rare anthropomorphic toaster. This one comes with original toast and winds up too! I listed my other toaster in my shop! If anyone is interested?! I've also added two more vintage festival masks to my mask wall! Now, I have a panda and Lunlun!! I love waking up to seeing my collection around me. Thanks to my husband for allowing me to have a place to display my treasures!! Love you Sam!!

Both toasters side by side!

Festival Masks Collection.

I found this lovely minty Irice Ado Mizumori Hair Spray cover can recently and sold it. She even came with her original tag!! Truly amazing piece too!

Original Irice Japan Tag!
Below, I have been on the hunt for a minty Macoto T. child purse for my collection of Macoto items and I finally did! She is minty and hot pink with chain straps. Lovely Macoto T. Artwork of a Victorian maiden, surrounded by flowers. Definitely one of my sought after pieces for my little collection! Yippee!

Macoto Takahashi artwork.
Another item I have always wanted is this adorable 3D Litho posedoll coin purse. I've seen them through out my searches from time to time, but it has always alluded me. I guess it was my time. I was able to do a direct purchase and now this piece lives with me. It needed a bit of cleaning up, and it came with its original metal maker's tag!! I've never seen it with this tag! It's so cute too! Haha!

Back.

The next few items, I found in a lot. This adorable Heidi compact, sadly, missing the chain necklace. Still in lovely condition. Mahou no Makochan necklace mirror n comb. I've always wanted one, but they can be very expensive. So to find one in the lot was just amazing and cheap!! Yay me!

New Neverland goods!

Sara and I went out for a little window shopping and visited the New Neverland shop and I found these adorable animal rulers and a pink gem bow ring!! I simply fell in love with the ring! The shop owner even let me choose a gift! So I got this Sailormoon emblem popsocket! That was so nice of them! I need to visit the shop again soon! Haha!

Vtg Rattle Toy Pony.

Above, this adorable pink corduroy Pony rattle toy is vintage and has adorable rattles tied in his mane and tail! I believe he is by Plakie. I've added him to my shop and he just too cute to pass up!! Below, I took my toy grand piano from our old house and brought it up here for some photos. So I displayed him next to the red Showa bear. Reminds me of those vintage postcards with toys. Yesss!!

On IG, I found some cute items to add to my collection from a seller. I couldn't resist this adorable Laundry Pin set with rope and toy telephone. The same seller also had this adorable Stahlwood squeak toy milk bottle still MIP!! I love the colors too! Teehee! Great prices too!

And... Lastly, this Lot of vintage 2nd generation Licca Chan vinyl paper dolls! All came with their own boxes and accessories! Whoa!! I had one in my collection. I will keep a few and sell a few. They are listed in my shop already! Just love them and I believe they went with those adorable miniature furniture pieces also by Lotte Licca! I will have to display them so you can see what I am talking about.

Welp, that's all for now. A lot more then I expected but this post also included items I found late last month! Haha! Which only arrived this month, thanks to Ground Advantage. UGH!!!

Happy Thrifting guys!

A good friend knows all your stories...

... "A best friend helps you write them." ~ Unknown.

The month of June has had its ups and downs. So I hope and pray things get better for all of us. I've been busy caring for my grandson so I haven't had much time to do searches or things of that nature. But here are some items I did manage to find...

Swimmer Japan has made even more cute things as of late. Not only the mugs on my post here, but also adorable ceramic toothbrush holders below and coin banks!!! OH MY Cuteness!!

These are just cute heads similar to the mugs and smaller and easier to display because of their size! I bought an extra set and it sold super fast in my shop!! Below the coin banks as well! So cute. But I am trying not to get the coin banks because of space. Haha! However, I did get some for my shop!

The kitty coin bank arrived separately, and just as cute as the others!! I sold a set and have had many others asking for help in acquiring one!

I spotted this adorable upcycled button ring by Violetpie on IG! I immediately had to get it. I love the look and its so very mod as well. Thanks to Jen for this adorable piece I added to my ring collection. Below, I found this lovely vintage 1963 Barbie charm bracelet. So cute! Now to add some charms to it later. Also another adorable piece to add to my collection.

Two weeks ago Sara and I went to the New Neverland shop in Tamuning and found these adorable Bricks DIY kits of Sanrio characters and I got the My Melody one and Cinnamonroll. It took the both of us to put them together!! Haha and about 4 hours to complete for each. Fun, but it can be an eye sore if you have to squint to look at where the "T" pieces go!! LMAO!

Next, I got a Lot of Kabaya Jewel Box jewelry of the ones I wanted from the new series. I am still trying to look for other, but this lot has most of the ones I wanted. The princess shoes, pendants and bird hair clip are just too cute! Love those pastel pink and blue colors too! Below, this adorable working Princess magic book with wand. Came in NOS in pink and hot pink. You just need to add 2 "AA" batteries to work it. The wand is also a marker you can use to write a secret message. The necklace has a pendant with black light to use to read that message. The wand when place over the heart, will unlock the book and it has a secret compartment inside as well!

I listed the hot pink one in my shop!! So much fun to play with too! Then I found this adorable vintage Humpty Dumpty rattle with original box. The box is so cute!! It has nursery rhymes through out. Definitely one of my fave finds recently!

And lastly, this adorable white child purse with cowgirl! I've already listed in my shop. Just too cute! Definitely a fun find and if you love anime eyed gals, this one is for you!

I hope you all have a safe week ahead and happy thrifting!

Thank you so much for stopping by! ~ ggsdolls
