September has come and gone and now October is here. Yay! Halloween here we come! It has been a nice beginning to October. I've slowly been receiving some long awaited packages. Yup, the mail has gotten slower and will continue to be just as slow, unfortunately. I saw on the news, that container ships are all just waiting in the waters surrounding ports around the world to be off loaded, but well, it is what it is. And USPS is also charging more now too. So, here's what I got...

This is a lovely vintage 1930s ceramic toddler girl figurine, that reminds me a lot of those adorable Sun Rubber or Ruth Newton squeak babies we see often. This one, I was told by a fellow collector on IG is similar to a Irwin a brand that makes a doll named, "Miss Adorable". Not sure? Still it's lovely to find some type of information. The photo after is the rubber squeak my fellow collector friend has and the ceramic one side by side. Thank you Kayla for the info. and letting me share her rubber squeak too!!

Next, I found this adorable vintage ceramic tea bag strainer fish. It's missing the leaf plate, but he was just too adorable to pass up. I love his big eyes! Then, I also found this lovely vintage foldable basket organizer from Germany. I've often seen these in red and made in France. But, to find one that is in pink and with adorable bears on it. Yesss, please!! Haha. Great for holding all my cuties in one place!! I even took it out with my little baby bun and did a photo shoot too! Love the coloring. It is rare to find it in pink!

I also received a surprise mail from Canada!! From a dear sweet friend, Alvina. I was very touched by the card and gift! Truly JoujouKawaii on IG is the sweetest and made my day! The card was just as adorable and inside what she wrote was so touching and kind words. I love you A. Thank you my dear sweet friend! I will treasure my little cutie for sure!!

 

Just some random goodies, I also found... 2021, Kabaya Jewel Box chocolates. Already a new design. I still haven't found the others from last year. LOL Oh well. They are cute, but not as cute as last years design. Always fun to see what comes out from Japan for these blind boxes. I also found a few things to resell in my shop from online Japan shops. Some of these cuties are sold out and no longer offered, Twiggy Mini dolls, Sekiguchi Mame Momoko dolls, and this lovely Anime Licca style doll still mint in box. So they are already listed in my shop, and in time for Christmas too!!

I found other colors of the plastic vintage deer buttons! I will keep these in my collection for now. From a fellow collector, he shared his adorable ornaments from an artist in France. I also bought these two to add to my tree this year. They are made of a soft rubbery type of clay when dried. Just too cute and they are light too! An adorable My Toy bunny I used 'buy it now' from ebay to fix his ears and resell. He sold just today! Already packed and ready to go to his new owner in Canada!!

Next, I've been searching for other dolly clothes for my little Betsy! A wooden bisque doll from Japan. So, these Totsy fashion doll coat and bonnet, were perfect when I saw them. Of course I wasn't sure they'd fit, and they did! Betsy looks so adorable. I also found her some Suzy Cute doll fashions, that fit too. A bit large and maybe more for a baby than a toddler doll. But, I just need to pair them with pants maybe instead of just the panties.

This vintage celluloid Humpty Dumpty toy rattle was too cute to pass up. I love his quirky face too! A great addition to my little collector of props and toys. I also used 'buy it now' for this Rushton Scrappy bear. He just needed a good wash and slight cleaning. He ended up being so minty cute, I decided he was a keeper! Haha. Darn it. Also from Japan this lovely Vanavana Rushton style Pajamas, already listed in my shop. They are too cute with adorable Rushton and My Toy plushie art on them. They are 160cm size in Japan or a 13/14 in Teens. I had Sara model them and even on her they are big. So maybe a size 6X or 7 in Womens.

This adorable celluloid baby rattle has a face and bonnet. I love this style rattle, my first one too. They can be expensive unfortunately. Darn. Oh well. I added a satin bow. Her original one was faded and ripped. I also found another plush basket pup with chain. I listed it in my Etsy shop and it sold within 24 hours. I was definitely surprised. But, happy someone adopted her. Too cute in red too! They aren't often seen even in Japan. I think because most collectors keep them! Ha!

My first set of vintage 1950s fabric baby books above, by Whitman. These are mint and still had their wrapping around it. I'm keeping two of them and the other 2 are sold now. Below, I also received another set, preowned, but still in lovely condition. I listed 2 of the books from this 2nd set. It had only one book that was the same as the first set, "Baby's Things." I love the graphics and Whitman always has adorable graphics in their books, depending on the year it was published.

I'm still awaiting four boxes from Japan that were sent seamail. Ugh. It is well over a month now. Hopefully sometime soon.

Just Keep Busy, Just Keep Busy...

 ...to the tune of Dori in Finding Nemo! LOL Keeping busy is what I've been up too.

Here's what I've been busy with...

I was able to find this vtg red Dollcraft pouty and yawning plush bear, and I've already restored him and he's listed in my Etsy shop. Quite unique, never seen a pouty and yawning face before, and I didn't know Dollcraft made rubber face plushies too! He is large about 17 inches tall and has a lot of weight to him. I washed him and kept his original stuffing. I added a "Jingle" sounder, and on his right paw is a squeaker too! I hope someone adopts him for Christmas? He would be an awesome cutie under the tree this year!

I also have been falling in love with vintage baby fabric books from the 1950s. Their graphics are what I am drawn too! So vibrant and colorful, they make great props with toys and most especially Plushies! I found a lot of 3 books, "Toys", "Oh Look", and "Washing is Fun". Just look on for the graphics in them and you will see what I mean...    Only one of them has sentences, the others are simple words for baby to learn from.

 A few boxes from Japan also arrived for the shop! I found this adorable Taito Toyfield Kuma Chan Bear pink plush with "Winter" fashion cape. In great condition and I listed it in my shop, it sold fast too! Plushies by Toysfield sell out fast. I will have to look out for more! Next, a commission for Chocoholic shelves, like last time. I had a few asking to find them some. This set sold and is already on its way to its new owner.

I finally won a Ningyo Hime Toei Animation Record! I've been on the hunt for this one too! I've wanted one since back in 2010 or earlier. It is amazing that I didn't get outbidded on it. The record sleeve even has amazing graphics from the movie. And just listen to the song, Marina sings!! Truly a dream come true! One of the last boxes in this week, is a vtg Oike Co. Soft vinyl doll all original with box. She too is already added to my Etsy shop. She is a cutie made prior to Sunchan, I believe. Love her hair and dress!

Next, I found this lovely Froebel Kan boardbook, that I don't have in my collection. Titled: "Playing Animals." This one features a lot of toys and plushies from Japan, like Kamar, Holiday Fair, and Herman Pecker, just to name a few!! A great book for those who love the vintage plush and toys we enjoy!! An adorable toddler dolly dress mint in package. I fell in love with the graphics on it and one can't have too many dolly dresses to play with!! Haha!

This awesome pair from Hot Chocolate, called, "Kitsch Blanket" maryjane shoes is my fave!! I got myself a pair and will wear it with my dolly dress too! It comes in an adorable ice cream sandwich box, and it doubles as a storage box too! Just too cute to wear almost!! LOL Matches all of my decor too! Last for today, is my pink Hello Joe cup, that I've added to my shop too! I think its time for someone else to enjoy it! Be sure to visit my shop, a few items have been added from my collection!!

My Finds This Week!

 It has been a slow week and I haven't really been doing much, because a few projects are on hold for now... So, has the mail. I was told it is like Christmas holiday season. Especially now, that more and more people are buying online and having things shipped in. It's been a crazy year, and I'm not depending on things to change anytime soon, unfortunately.

So, here is what did make it in! I found this lovely Vintage 50s Westinghouse aqua radio, and bought it mostly for the look. Sadly, it doesn't work, but that's okay, because I mostly planned on using it as a display piece in my collection! See the 2nd photo!

Next, I happened upon this lovely vintage Brio set of chairs and table on Etsy from YellowBirdMorning shop! I have always been on the look out for Brio pieces from the same era. Adria was so sweet and shipped my items fast. Be sure to check her shop out too for some amazing vtg dollhouse pieces! I need to take some photos of what I have thus far for my Brio collection. Sadly, the table is missing its extension piece, but that is okay. Lovely Scandinavian design too!

Then, I won this adorable and unique Oike Miko Chan Bunka Hug Doll Posedoll on Yahoo Japan. She is minty and still has her tag. She is large about 15 inches tall, with plastic baby hands and head. Her hair is fur and she kind of reminds me of those Japan made elf knee huggers, you can find easily for the holidays. If you just add a Santa hat on her, she could be an elf or baby, displayed under your Christmas tree this year. There was a larger one to her, about 18 inches tall, but I didn't want to bid on that one. Mostly because of shipping costs and her being so large!! Her hair is a light blue fur, and she wears a red onesie with white pom poms. So unique, I have offered her on my instagram page, and then I will list her on my Etsy shop if there is no interest.

Last, the lot of retro fabric with cute kitsch ceramic figurines on it. I happened upon it through Etsy, but it is actually sold on a different website. Still, I love the kitschy look of the fabric. I will make some pillows perhaps... There were also swatches you could buy, just look at the few I got below!

I don't think I could choose a fave, they are all cute! They all arrived safely, now to work on them!! Have a great weekend everyone. I hope you all are staying safe and well!
