Here is a quite unique wired dolly I won from ebay last month. I didn't show it sooner, only because, I decided to modify her a bit. She sold to me fairly cheap and I thought I'd give her a new look?!
Here is what she looked like before...

Thursday's Mail!
Here's what came in...
I was able to find another Starsha figure and even a Badge/Pin! Both thru ebay... I'm keeping one mint in package and modding the other and possibly putting her on a body? We'll see, if that's possible. More by clicking below!

Falling in Love with Needle Felting!
Okay, I love crafty things and such, but this was just so much fun and truly amazingly easy to do!!
During Christmas break a dear friend of our family stayed at our guest house their 3rd year in a row! When they arrived, they gave us some of the cutest things from the Daiso Store in Japan! The previous post about the goodies are here.
Taby has the penguin kit, Sara the cute puppy in a mug, and I got to do the bunny kit! I started to work on it this past weekend!

Swimmer Products and More!
I have been a fan of SWIMMER products of Japan for quite some time. No, not fishing hooks or a type of bait, folks... LOL
But, cutesy girlie items that are totally kawaii/cute made in Japan. I've found some vintage goodies mostly in the past, etc. that are still in my collection today! But, the latest products to come out of SWIMMER, is just, like, Whoa!
I first liked them thru their facebook page, and when they started to share all the new released goodies. Oh my gawd! Yup, I'm hooked. They are very nicely priced like a 100yen store, the quality is nice too and the style, or design is just too cute for words... So, let me shut up and here is what I found?!
Please Note: Unfortunately unless you live in Japan or can order from the website, then, it may be hard to get their goods. You could have a friend order them for you, even a third party service can do that as well...

Movie: Wolf Children!
"Wolf Children" by Mamoru Hosada
I actually watched this movie sort of a year ago or so. My son, Tevin suggested it, and said it was an amazing movie by Mamoru Hosoda. Tevin figured, since we all love Studio Ghibli films that maybe we would enjoy movies by Studio Chizu. I've seen "The Girl Who Leapt Through time", also a film done by the same director, and I loved it. He showed it to us on his laptop, while we were on a family trip in Japan. Sadly, it didn't play all the way thru. So, we never got a chance to watch it since.
Fast forward to recently, my Mother in-law was in Hawaii for a birthday trip last week and she found a copy at the local Walmart there. She gave it to us the other day. So naturally, since it was a holiday weekend we all decided to watch it. We only watched part way of the beginning, the first time. This time it wasn't on a laptop and we watch it on our big screen TV.

Why I Collect?
I recently read a relative of my husband's post on fb, of her thoughts on collectors being hoarders, was basically, the gist! Naturally, I was a bit miffed. But, an after thought came... and I guess for some, if not, most who are non-collectors, may not know the reasons behind those who do collect.
Some choose to be ignorant and use simple explanations as to why people would collect one thing or another. It's actually quite dumbfounded, that people think they are not collectors?
Ergo, what about those who collect recipes from their Grandma and family members, favorite book reads, quotes or Legos for their children, is that not a type of collection? We don't hoard either, most sell their collections in time. If you'd like to read more, here is a link that can help you gain a bit of knowledge on the issue.
So, just a bit of a "Booyah!" so to speak, to this particular relative, and those who think they don't collect something or another or understand why others do? Here's my gist below!
Thank you very much for listening to my rant on this. ~ ggsdolls

Just A Quick Trip!
Hey all, I hope you all had a great New Year's Day! It was a busy week for me and into the weekend! We had a beach gathering and then an evening dinner at my Dad's... Then,
I had to take a quick trip to Honolulu early Saturday morning. So that my son could catch a flight to Las Vegas!! Yup, he had been saving up for a tattoo to be done by "Sausage" a famous tattoo artist on Ink Master. Sorry, I'm clueless on this one. Anywho...
