"Skip, Skip, Skip to My Lou..."

...x3 Skip to my Lou, my darlin'." ~ a 1840s traditional folk song.

It's raining Rushtons!!

I recently used Buy it Now, to get this adorable rare version of Queenie Quack by Rushton Star Creations. She arrived with fur very matted down and discolored. But I was hoping for the best when I began working on restoring her. After her spa day, she was 110% better. Her stuffing was in beautiful condition and I just refluffed it and made sure it was evenly distributed through out her body. Especially the neck area which was very wobbly. I cleaned up her rubber face and only needed to touch up her beak and cheeks.
I needed to figure out how I was going to create her bonnet. Luckily, I had some extra millinery available in my stash!! TA-DA! It turned out beautifully. I may change out the ribbon I used. I want there to be a breakup of the colors and not too much pink satin used.
She is definitely was a surprise to find. A welcome one too. You see, Queenie is one of my ISOs. This version or the original is what I've always wanted. She will stay with me for a time, and I just know where to display her!!
Next, I won this lot of three Rushton, yup you read that right, Rushton Star Creations, Easter bunnies!! Each of them just needed a bit of work on their necks. Sadly, after time, the stuffing always migrates to the body. So their necks were all wobbly. Each came with their original satin bows and flowers. I listed each one in my Etsy shop and the pink sold already!! Love their frosted colors!!

There is even this adorable Chime Toy Gund bunny. In amazing condition and with its original tag as well. He is also in my shop! Just too cute and waiting to be adopted. I also could not resist these two ornament dolls made in Japan. Just look at their huge eyes, made like posedolls, these two will be great for Christmas or Valentine's day decor!

Adorable Douglas Cuddle lamb above. He is actually a bean bag plush. I love the sleepy eyelashes and blue eye shadow. I'm always a sucker for!! Haha! I was able to find and get this adorable miniature plush lamb by Riryuru. One of my favorite Japanese doll toy miniature artist. Now, I have two of her dolly miniatures!

Another favorite find, is this adorable red puppy child foot stool. I was sure it was going to take a month to get to me, but it didn't. And I thought I'd have to go into the Post to get it, but I was wrong there too. It fit inside the post locker and I just had to get it. Yay!! It fits perfectly into my retro decorated bedroom too!!

One of the things I enjoy most, having the treasures I collect around me. Yaaassss!!

I hope you all find what your heart desires! Happy Hunting!

"A Hunting We Will Go, A Hunting We Will Go...

...Heigh Ho, the dairy-o. A Hunting we will go!" ~ composer Thomas Arne.

Vintage hunting for finds is always, at least almost always therapeutic for me! So here's what I found recently...

I found these not vintage but cute items from Japan. Another Ayumi Uyama miniature posedoll princess above, I listed in my shop and she sold right away! Below, a lovely posedoll princess case with jewelry accessories inside. Also, a book case, that includes toy jewelry as well. I just love vintage Okura Toy accessories. They remind me of my childhood so much! Glad to see these items finding their forever homes too!

I also found these Ayumi tins. Both have been listed in my shop! Just look at those cute Bunka dolls on front. A vintage Bijou Eater bunny in floral pastel design. Just adorable and she plays music too. Always fun to find a plush that is unique.

My favorite, this hot pink container. The top can be changed out so, I put some adorable Meyercord cuties on the front! Lovely container to hold your jewelry! I was able to find this rare Gunderful Chime Bunny, still lovely too. She is also listed in my shop. I love her blue eyes!

When I shared my Kubrick Pink Blythe last month I got a few people interested in getting one. So I found more for the shop! They are just amazing and hard to find too! This adorable Columbia Toy's blue Easter Chick. I added a bonnet to her which can be removed. She is also added to my shop.

I recently saw these Gatcha retro albums and I am so happy I got them. There are five in this series, a red album with a bear, a yellow with a fawn, a blue with a squirrel, a green one with a puppy, and a pink album with a bunny. Each made of vinyl and cardboard with three pages inside for you to add Purikura photos inside. Just too adorable. I've already added them to my shop!

I even made a video about them. I will definitely be using mine to add cute photos inside it!! Below, a closer look at the before and after of my blue bear by Rushton!!

I love his face mold, the same face mold of the large panda. This blue bear is a rarity! Well, that's all for now!

Happy Thrifting!

"Despite the Forecast...

...Live like it's Spring!" ~ Lily Pulitzer

Spring is in the air... well on Guam it's always Summer! Haha! Here are some amazing finds of the past 2 weeks...

Found this antique Douglas Cuddle bear in "Hounds tooth" print. He is definitely adorable and so unique in this color combo. He's listed in my shop. Below, I was able to adopt this cutie from a friend, made by Gund a closed eyes sweet floral print bunny. I love her sleepy face and coloring for sure!

Next, this adorable polka dotted puppy plush in yummy confetti colors, is a musical wind up doggy and play, "How Much is That Doggy in The Window." He has already been added to my Etsy shop as well. Below, I finally was able to acquire this lovely Easter Rushton Ad with Granny Bun!! One of my favorite ads too! I hope to frame this and hang it soon!!

Then, this amazing new to me vintage Rushton plush box. Perhaps from the late 50s early 60s era. It doesn't say what type of plush it held, but it is great to display a Rushton plush for sure!!

And my little sleepy kitty is just too cute inside!! Maybe a bit too small, but I can still display her nicely! Bought a lot of rattles and a squeak to list in my shop. I kept 2 not shown yet. But these rattles and squeak are listed in my shop already!

Adorable cat in bed squeak still works and has lovely coloring. She is not Alan Jay or Ruth E, but still adorbs. The elephant rattle toy comes with the heart rattle you see. So visit my shop soon!

Well, that's all for now... Have a lovely April guys!
