This past Monday, my sister and I, took another trip, to Hawaii. This time, I had to escort her to Honolulu, so she could catch her flight from Hawaii to WA. It has been an amazing month for the both of us, our birthdays, her coming out to Guam to visit, and traveling to Japan, etc. I will always treasure the memories we've made...
We arrived into Hawaii, about 7pm, then, made our way to our hotel. This time we stayed at Best Western: The Plaza Hotel by the airport. So much cheaper and worth every penny. Two nights to be exact. They had a shuttle, and even offered continental breakfast. The hotel staff also gave us a nice room with access to the elevator. Because apparently, we had booked the unit by the pool and there are steps. The young man who gave us a better room was truly a sweetheart! We had many food places nearby too! Mcdonald's was it for dinner. We were exhausted after the 7 hour flight, and so we just showered and stayed in. The bed was so comfortable, even the pillows, dreamy. Yesss!!
The next morning, we decided to go to Pearl Ridge Mall, and oh my goodness. They had completely changed everything since the 80's!! There was even a monorail to take you to the other two sections of the mall, what?! Last we both recalled, there was only one section!! OMG! I only took a few photos of the place, and because it was a holiday, there were many people there too! The shop above, had all kinds of sour items! I just had to take a photo of that! We both got ourselves some Boba Tea, Ube/Taro flavoured ice of course! Shopped at Ross, then, TJ Max too! They even had a Book Off shop! Like in Japan!! Awesome!
By that afternoon, we made our way back to our hotel area, and IHOP, for lunch. We found out, it was just behind our hotel! LOL
It was somewhat raining here and there. After lunch we headed back to our hotel and relaxed. We ordered Pizza Hut for dinner, and made sure to get our bags packed and ready for our flights the next day. Lita had to catch an 8am flight by Tuesday morning. While mine was not until 3:30pm that afternoon, for Guam. It was bittersweet. An amazing 10 days of just spending time with my sister, seeing her enjoy being back on Guam, and even the excitement of seeing Japan a bit closer for her first time. Her spending time with our Dad, and our brothers and their families too. It was truly a blessing for us all, that she was able to be here. Thanks my love, Sam!!
She made it home safely, and I arrived into Guam Wednesday night. Now, its back to our busy lives again. This was definitely a birthday month to remember always...

Goodies For Now...
Here's what I received prior to and after coming back from Japan!!
I found a few Rushton type rubber face bears on Etsy. I plan on using them on some projects. When I finally have time too!! LOL I also bought this cute silly bear necklace to add to my bunny necklace collection! Also from Etsy.
Next, I received this Lot of 7 ceramic figurines from Yahoo Japan. I fell in love with the pearl like fawns. I've already added and sold some of the other figurines in my Etsy shop!! I have also special requested to buy this lovely wood plaque made by Every Day is A Holiday shop. I've always wanted one. I finally wrote Jen and asked if there was any still available and I'm so glad I did!! I already have it on display in my room. Yippee!
Unique plastic lace style coasters for your bottles or tumblers, but instead I am using them to accent my figurine pieces above. They are quite unique and I love their kitschy look!! Next, I was able to purchase this lovely Swimmer Bike horn via a Japan website, just too cute! It's actually a squeak rather then a bell horn! I hope to display this baby!!
Two more ceramic figurine and shakers, already added to my Etsy shop, and have since sold super fast! Both were in amazing condition too!
I also wanted to show my haul from Japan! I just need to take pics of my Gatchas. So for now, here are chocolate Meiji umbrella sticks, Nano Legos, some friendship bracelets, cute cord holders as a cat and bunny. A cute bunny ring for my phone, and some other goodies to use for projects, from the Daiso at Aeon. Definitely a busy week! I have most of the figurines listed in my shop! I hope to add more goodies when they arrived next week!

A Quick Trip to Narita!!
Since my sister is here for vacation, we decided I'd take her to Narita, Japan for 2 days!! We left early morning on Monday, Feb. 10th. It was a short 3 hour flight and when we arrived, we made sure to stop at the money exchange and head to our hotel to drop our bags. It was a chilly 3 degrees outside. Her very first time in Japan, and I wanted to make it memorable.
After we dropped our bags, we waited for the shuttle bus to the Aeon Mall. We bought a few snacks at the hotel shop. Flan pudding and I tried a Strawberry Coke. Both delicious, just not together! LOL
At Aeon Mall they had wheelchairs we could use. Awesome, they didn't last time! We shopped til' we dropped and stopped to eat too! Lots to see and do there!
She had fun looking at all the shops and we even stopped in at the Daiso, and Supermarket for food. We decided to catch the shuttle bus back to our hotel and it wasn't coming until 7:50pm. We sat outside, even though it was cold and people watched. Lots of tours came thru, and high school students also!
The next day, we took a taxi to the Naritasan Temple. I wanted my sister to visit there and walk through the old streets there. It was a crisp early morning, about 5 degrees outside. Eeek! But the sun was shining and there were no crowds. I guess with everyone scared of the Coronavirus, that was why there were no crowds. Narita is such a beautiful little town. There were even some cherry blossoms peeking out, some budding! The white ones were blooming, but the pink ones not so much. I still took some photos.
There were even some dried fruit stalls at the lower level and Lita bought some dried strawberries, Yum! Afterwards, we took a taxi back to Aeon Mall. It was our last day and Lita wanted to do a bit more shopping...
At the Mall, some activities were going on for kids. Then after lunch, we decided to get Baskin n Robins crepes. Yum!
We got more treats for family and friends. Then took the earlier shuttle bus back to our hotel. Rested that afternoon and ate at the hotel restaurant. I even had my sister try the melon soda with ice cream treat. There were many good things to eat at the buffet! By that night, we just relaxed and planned our day back to the airport and spending it at the shops there. Lita enjoyed the shops and relaxing. By the time we were ready to get to the gate, it was really quick through TSA and hardly anyone in the terminal.
I finally had a chance to sit and see what goodies I got from the Gatcha machines on the 5th floor. My favorite are the Moomin tin suitcases. I'm so glad, I got 2!!
It was a great little trip to Narita for my sister!
