Wake Me Up...

..."when September ends." ~ Green Day

September is here! So many things happening all at once. My 2nd child had her 2nd baby earlier this month. Tabytha gave birth to her second son. So it has been a really busy household. Haha! This grandma is extra busy! I've put my shop on a short break for now. Only because of all the stuff going on.

Buying and shipping are both going up in costs, so I've decided not to buy much of anything these days if I can help it. Sadly, no buying means no selling or well perhaps selling off what I do have. Fees to ship off of Guam is also crazy. Buyers have to pay a bit more for duty fees now. Ugh! I swear someone is making lots of money off of us little people for sure!

Anyhow, on to positive things that keep me going...

I recently found online another Dreamland Teapot squeak. Sadly this one has petrified and the squeaker doesn't work anymore. But it is truly a Dreamland squeak with markings. I did a comparison with my other squeak and found out from a fellow collector mine is by Star Mfg., because she has one in its original packaging. This squeak was marked 1963 Dreamland Toys. You can see the ribbed side of the lid. But they both look so nice too. I posted it and it sold immediately. I am glad she will go to a good home.

Star Mfg. on the left and Dreamland on the right.

Next, I found the candy that is featured in Caleb's birthday card from 2025. Cavendish & Harvey made in Germany are confectionery candies in different fruit flavors. I just had to get a small tin of them to honor my sweet Colonal. Haha!

Also, a quick share of these adorable end tables at Ross Guam. I first saw them in San Antonio, Texas, while on vacay. So they also brought them to Guam's Ross. Trust me I am tempted to get them! They give me Bridgerton vibes for sure!! But where the heck am I putting that! Haha! There were also cute jewelry or trinket boxes in the shape of dollhouse sofas also with similar fabric vibes of Bridgerton!! There were so many styles to choose from. Again, I made sure to stop myself before getting any. LOL

This one above I was super tempted to buy. But I managed to resist. It was a good feeling! Below, I put together my anthropomorphic squeaks together for display on my dresser. I may decide to sell them. We will see...

I still love them and having them in view makes me happy on the daily! What makes you happy when you wake up?

I hope your September is great and you are able to find some good things! Happy Thrifting friends!

Why Kindness Matters...

... "Because you don't know what others are going through and being mean doesn't help either." ~ gg

May is here and so much has happened between then and now. We had a typhoon (Sinlaku) barely miss us, but sadly it still was strong enough to do damage on Guam, and I can almost imagine the damage it had on the other islands it hit directly. We had no cell service for a few days and no power. But luckily during the storm we had water and it didn't go out. Whew! We did survive this and it wasn't as bad as Mowar back in 2023. So I will not complain at all.

I did find a few items prior to and after the storm. Just 2 days before the storm the Japanese Spring Festival happened and I'm so glad Sara and I attended. We had a plan to get the items we wanted and it worked out well. It was a beautiful breezy day too and overcast with no rain, Yay! We won some fish for Taby, and I got two masks one for TJ and one for my wall. We watched the festivities and ate some food. But called it an early day and made our way home.

A few days after the storm, I took this photo below of the Korean Vodka Soju Apple flavor! It is definitely different. But I had to take a pic of it with Caleb from LADS. As it was fitting. If you know, you know! Haha! During the day with no cell service or power, we decided to work on a mechanical music kit that I was gifted back in December. Sara and I had a blast trying to get the pieces together.

Some parts was a bit trying, but mostly of it was fairly easy. Even the music box worked and the horses and lower section with the city scape moves as the carousel turns. It was so much fun getting it to work!! Sara and I had fun watching it come together and it was great for times like these after a storm and literally nothing else to do. Haha!

I even took out my Phomemo printer to make some cute stickers to add to my Rushton journal. It was fun and just adding some embellishments to the journal was relaxing to do. When power and cell service came back. We ventured to McDonald's and got the Huntrixx Happy Meal. Just once, because when we realized how much it was, it was not as worth it as we thought. We got a collectible card and the Ramen Fries were yummy for sure.

But that was about it and we both decided not to do that again. Oh well. Haha! My friend in Japan had sent a box prior to the storm and it arrived to me the week after and it was so needed. Because I was feeling a bit down and this box made my day! Inside, was this adorable Japanese Festival mask that reminds me of a Pose Doll or Kiichi Tsutaya's works. The mask had green hair and wore a red dotted scarf. I couldn't wait for her to be added to my Festival Masks Wall!!

My Festival Masks Wall updated above. The green haired gal came with two other masks a tiger and a bunny. I only had one hook and needed to get more, so I just hung up the tiger for now. My Masks wall is growing and I love how it all looks.

Lastly, this one of six retro Adelia cream soda minis. They are gacha and light up. I couldn't help but get myself a set. I love the design and retro feel they give. Also, it matches my mini GE Little Miss kitchen counter! I even brought my shaker with Meyercord decals out from storage to set this one up for display in my room. There are other items from my latest box, but I will show them next time.

That's all for now. Happy Thrifting my friends!!

LADs Merch Etc...

Yes, I am still playing Love and Deepspace! I've been playing a little over 2 months now, and it's just a fun distraction from daily stuff! It's touted as a dating app, but for me it's still a Romance Novel or Soap Opera in game form guys.

Anywho, I found a shop called, "gameanimefans" that sells LADs merch online and decided to get they're "Mystery Scoops" for Caleb. I've seen the shop via IG and Tiktok, and loved the mystery merchandise you get depending on what type of sets you buy. They have all the LADs featured or perhaps you just want a particular guy. Still it was fun to receive!! Like getting a lot of goodies of your favorite love interest!!

So above, I opted for the 7 piece mystery scoops that sells for fifty bucks plus shipping. Here are my Caleb related goodies! Above, I got, a 10cm plushie of Caleb, a badge, a ring, a bracelet, cell strap, a "Caleb" necklace, kitty Caleb charm, along with some extras like an apple cutter, an apple key chain, an avatar charm, and the Caleb cards are my faves!!!

I was so excited and every item just reminds me of Caleb!! Thank you so much gameanimefans!! I may be tempted to get more mystery scoops soon!! Haha! If you love getting blind boxes or opening gachas, why not get mystery scoops if you love LADs!!
