Busy Creating and Online Finds!

I've had a few ideas rolling around in my head, that recently were completed. Little did I realize that they were of a similar theme, until I stepped back and looked at what I've done. Haha.

I bought this cute jar of shells and blue sea glass from ROSS last weekend. Sorry no before photo. It had a lovely 'Ocean Breeze' scent as well. I took out the shells and sea glass and decided to create a little terrarium of sorts with somethings added to it. I found my artificial seaweed in storage and took Charlotte my hybrid Konami mermaid figure and put her inside... Now, I have a little mermaid in a bottle!

 Then, I ordered some Fushia glass beads from etsy last week and waited for them to arrive. I had these lovely white flower cabs and decided to create something with them...

 I made some Marina flower pearl hair clips! What do you think?

 Definitely themed to Toei Animation, "The Little Mermaid". Don't you think? LOL

 Earlier this month, I ordered these 1/6 made white doll ballet shoes from ebay. I wanted to check if they could fit Francine. They do! They can also fit Cherry Chan! Yay!

 From Amiami, I ordered Azone Pure Neemo M bra and panties set for Cherry chan. She fits them nicely don't you think so?

 I added a white bow and Kikipop bloomers, along with a blue ribbon choker necklace to match.

I also found this lovely vintage Macoto 'Selena' pencil case in red. Surprised that no one else had snatched it up. I will add it to my shop soon!

 In lovely condition for its age. Needs some cleaning but otherwise adorable.

 I love the pink gingham lining inside where you place your pencils.

Last online find to arrive, is this vintage 1950s pink plush baby musical bunny from etsy! I will definitely call her Wiesje, she looks like a pink version of her! Don't you think so?

 A musical doll too, she has her wind up key at the back, with markings, "Swisstone Music". When winded she plays "Cradle Song", and her head moves to the music! Just adorable.

Sweetest Vintage Dolly Book EVERRR!

While doing my usual searches through etsy. I came across, my friends shop and saw she had a dolly up for sale, that I had gotten before... After reading the description and looking at the doll, it included a book! I decided to buy the doll again just because of the book. Only because I was worried someone else would snatch the listing up... LOL Funny story. My friend contacted me and asked if I wanted just the book instead. She was so sweet and refunded my monies and just listed the book by itself!!

Awe, thank you so much dear. I bought it and can't wait for it to arrive...

I decided to do some research on the book, while I wait for it to come in the mail. In my findings, it's a Dutch childrens story book rewritten in 1963 by a company called, Nutricia. They sold baby foods, snacks, and drinks. The books were probably sold or given as promos to advertise their products. There are other books in this series. But, only the one story about this cute doll. The title of the book is called, "Wiesje Wollepop". I've seen this book somewhere before, but I just can't seem to recall... My mind is going. Anyhow, I was able to find a translation of the story. You see it's written in Dutch. So, I took the translations and the scans of the book and edited them. So, here they are, and now we all can enjoy reading this adorable story!!

Wiesje, reminds me of all the cute bunny baby dolls we all know and love!! Like, Shevie dolls, Bunny dolls with rubber faces, Rushtons, Knickerbockers, Woolikins, and Gunds, the list goes on...

I also received these cute retro dolly fashions by Endangered Sissy on etsy! I have been wanting to get one or more of Pamela's creations for some time. Great fashions for your Blythe, Licca Chan, even Nana from Korea!

 She even dropped me a note and I must say, I love the artwork on her stationary too! So nostalgic, reminds me of artwork for "The Beatles" or 1970s groovy-ness...

Next, I ordered these adorable nursery dresser knobs from ebay. A seller, (faith_n_him) from Ohio custom makes them. There are several to choose from, and they each have some earlier and later released Meyercord decal cuties we all know and love. My faves are the two, a bunny, and a bear. I ordered just the two, to change out the plain ones I have on my pink shabby chic shelf...

Last thing, I redressed Cherry chan in this cute "Who's that girl" by VOLKS Japan top, I've had for years now, along with Kikipop bloomers, and azone stockings. Love the color and look on her!

Finally Finished My Reroot!

Oh my goodness, it was definitely a long process, and mostly waiting for the Saran hair I ordered a second time, to come in. I started this attempt back in December 28, 2017, post is here. I finished the saran hair I had ordered the first time.

Sad thing was that according to the shops directions, if I was doing a barbie sized head, I would only need the one bag. But, then again, because of the length of hair, I wanted, it finished up the bag. When the second order came in. I didn't get back to working on the head right away. But, when I did, it wasn't too far long to finish. After I had her head completed fully. The next step was to boil set the hair.

 Basically, you part the hair where it is you want the hair parted. Boil water in a pot, turn off the heat and as you hold the hair and body of the doll, slowly place the head into the hot water. Try not to fully submerge the head. Basically, keep from putting the face paint of the doll into the hot water, just the head. Afterwards, lift up from the hot water and then put the whole length of the hair into the water again. Just allowing to fully submerge the head and hair only. Lift and remove from the pot, pat dry with a towel. Then, allow the hair to air dry.

 I combed her hair while waiting for it to dry. Then, I started to trim the hair to the desired length I wanted. If you look carefully at first, her hair was a bit more poofy at her part. Now, it is set to a center part. The saran from this seller was nice and soft and so shiny too. I continued to trim, cut and now, she is ready to begin her new life as...

 I may trim her bangs a bit... So, what do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

It was a good try and fun, even almost therapeutic, LOL. If I had all the hair I needed, I would say this would take me one week to do.

Then, I found this lovely vintage children's book by Rand McNally for Junior Elf, titled, "The Bears' Picnic." I mostly got for the cute bear art work. Lovely print too.

 I'm trying to tell myself. Just the one book. Not too costly either and I found it through etsy. The seller shop WunderStuff is here, and he was so sweet to add this vintage book too.

Yummy Fruit Tart from our Aunt. It was a great Sunday lunch treat. Sorry, just had to share a pic of it. Very light and yummy.
