Today's mail was very much anticipated. I've been busy with other things to do finds as of late. But, last week was a bit better.
Here's what came in today.
I traded my vintage plaster aqua cat coin bank for these cute vintage Poodle chained, figurines. They are small, but oh so cute! My trading partner Ana H. covered my box in this lovely floral wrapping paper, and even added a sweet note! Thank you dear sweet Ana!
They both arrived safely and are just so darn cute. I will have to take a comparison photo of the rubber squeak dog, I have that looks similar to them, but in squeak toy form. They have, "Japan" stamped at the bottom. They will need a bit of cleaning, and I've already painted the large one's nose, and shortened the chain a bit. It was a bit longer, probably means, there may have been a larger one with them? Perhaps. They will be added to my collection.
This amazing large pantsuit gal, I found via ebay and won! She stands about 13 inches tall and quite unique.
I cleaned her up and washed and conditioned her hair. Very frizzy too, unfortunately. Also, she is supposed to have two ponytails, judging by the part at the back. Love her big eyes though. Sadly, no markings on her at all. She also squeaks!
I will have to take a comparison photo of her next to another doll, so you can see the scale. She may be added to my shop soon...
I also ordered these cute pink Kikipop pink ballet shoes from Amiami. My Gigi doll(Goebel doll #4201) can fit them, so I may order other colors if they are still available.
While, Taby was at her Driver's Practice on Sunday. Sara and I decided to get some groceries at Payless Supermarket in Hagatna, and we picked up two blind boxes of Kabaya Jewel Box toys.
Inside, I got a purple lace choker necklace with heart, and chocolate, and the 2nd box had ear decor, butterfly clips in pink. Yup, You read that right, ear decor. On the side of the box it says you can place the butterfly clips on the lower half of the ear, just above the earlobe, as decoration! Ha. Only Japanese would think of kawaii ear decorations like that.
Taby kept both items. Glad she would enjoy them more! LOL
I also received a vintage Maggie playmates doll. Not photographed. She will sacrifice her clothes for my sweet Gigi doll. More pics of that soon as well. I am also expecting a few figurines in the mail for my shop this week! More on them when they arrive!
Much love, ~ ggsdolls

Summer Blues?
Last summer, my kids were complaining they were bored, so, I found a post via facebook using the word, "Bored", giving them things to consider, before they complained about being bored. Ha. It was very helpful.
This summer, my youngest said, she wanted to go on an adventure. So, here's what I came up with... and posted it via facebook and Instagram!
No matter where you live, this can be done.
Enjoy and I hope this helps for a great summer! Love, - ggsdolls
Kids bored for the summer? Take them on an adventure... One day out of the week, choose one place on island to explore with them. Example, Inarajan Village, Do a walk through and share the history of the village. Pack lunch and find a spot, sit and talk about what they've just experienced. You'd be surprised to see the learning and bonding that happens

Vintage Litho Art Print by Eden!
I recently used "Buy it Now" on ebay for this cute vintage Litho art print by Eden, called, "Pensive". I just love it. Most of Eden's works are lovely, but this one, is my fave, I think, unless I find another? Haha.
It came with its original plastic frame, very kitsch. A small print at 8 X 10, but still lovely. She will be added to my collection of art prints on my wall. I've already put her up too! Tee hee.
Then, just to mention, I decided to change my IG profile pic, and took a close up of my cutie, Goebel. Since she is made by Goebel, I might as well name her Gigi! Right?
I had fun playing with her image on the app prisma... Maybe a bit too much fun!
Last, I decided to update my etsy shop banner, and took out my toy jewelry accessories. Also, the cute trinket box I got. These are the best photos I took, below. The banner has already been updated.
The 2nd photo didn't make the cut, but I just had to share the two cute knick knack ceramic cuties. I hope to find more of them... someday!
Hope you all are having a wonderful week, where ever you may be?!

Just Quick Picnic!
I decided to do a little photo shoot, and do a quick picnic at our family beach today!
I brought two dolls down, I had an idea, for a poem I wrote long ago, and needed a background photo. Then, Sheila the mermaid, just had to come along for a quick photo shoot too. I love mermaids, and just had to take a few shots with her at our beach! They turned out really nice too!
It was truly a gorgeous day, nice breezy and sunny. Sam brought his Bose player and we listened to 70's tunes, while we ate tuna sandwiches, chips, and pickled mangoes, along with water to wash it all down...
While, Sam and the girls took a quick siesta, I started taking photos here and there! LOL
My small jelly bag, was perfect to my samsung, iphone, along with the dolls.
I didn't post the pics I took for my poem. I will share that one later...
Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!
Thank you for stopping by! ~ ggsdolls

Finally, Some Mail Today...
Yup, not doing much shopping these days, mostly by choice. I do find things often, I just choose not to buy, like I used too...
Here are a few goodies, I finally received!
First, this gorgeous Sankyo Trinket Music box from etsy. I have actually been waiting over a month to receive -_-; Ugh. Yup, the seller I believe sent it through parcel post. Not, the best choice, but that is the cheapest shipping. Though if I had a choice, I wouldn't have chosen parcel post. Note to self, ask for Priority or First Class next time! LOL
Basically, it's a lovely trinket box by Sankyo with a beautiful faux pearl decoration at top of the lid, and fabric flowers inside. When you take off the lid, the underside has a mirror, and small area to keep trinkets, jewelry, etc.
The key to wind is underneath and it plays, "Fur Elise" by Beethoven. A little weary sounding, but still beautiful. I will add a video, in the post, later. The legs are clear celluloid plastic, and in a lovely rose color.
Then, I won this interestingly cute furry pet. I thought was a lot larger than it actually is. Made with real rabbit fur from the 1960s, it has a rubber face, and its head bobbles. I imagined it was a mascot plush you would set on your bed, but, it's quite small at about 3 inches tall. So, maybe more like a doll size or 1/6 size pet for your Blythe or Licca doll, perhaps...
I found its ribbon, underneath its head, as it is attached by wire.
No markings, but, obviously made in Japan. I may add him to my shop.
This amazing find, I got through a Japan online shop! I've never seen a Geo cat couple chained with the infamous, "My Love" heart?! So, I definitely, had to get it for my shop.
Beautiful geo design in lovely black lacquer. The cats are just adorable, chained together in love. No, breaks in the ceramic or scratches, and still has its cardboard heart in great condition.
They will eventually be added to my shop soon!
This cutie I received last week, is quite rare and one of my ISO's for some time. I often choose not to say, what I'm looking for, but this time, I will! She is a lovely vintage doll by Goebel Hummelwerk, Germany. There's not too much known about her, and only 2 other collectors that I know of that own one or more.
So, it was nice to find one, and I finally got her in the mail from ebay, as she traveled all the way from Germany! Sadly, her box she traveled in was crushed as you can see...
But, she was fine inside. There are 2 versions of this doll, the 9 inch doll, I have above, and the 12 inch size. She has lovely sleep eyes with eyelashes, and sometimes pale white lips or rose pink. She comes in blonde, brunette, and auburn hair color. She is generally dressed in mod fashions. Mine came with a sailor top and red beret, not shown. I believe she is from 1965.
I did redress her in a red sweater top, I believe is meant for Sindy, and her jumper is for Kikipop dolls, along with her shoes. Mine has the two ponytails just like on the box photo, beside her. I hope one day to find the taller version. So, if you come across any, please message me!!
I did find this MIP fashion, that I was hoping to fit her...
The red top, was too small, but I was able to altar the jumper and now it's a skirt!
She is wearing Mattel Small Talk doll boots here. She has chubby arms, legs and body, which makes it hard to find her clothes, darn. Maybe, I should change her body? She has a bit of weight to her, and I love that. I'm obsessed with her, as of late... Teehee! Now, to find her more clothes to wear...
