Better Than a Thousand Hollow Words...

..."is one word that brings peace." ~ Buddha

July is here! My goodness the year is half way done! I hope you have a lovely weekend ahead!!

Here's what I found recently...

Macoto artwork on the memo!

This amazing unused Macoto Takahashi Double Memo! It was up for auction last month and I was able to win it. I love the graphics and art work. Truly an adorable piece to add to my collection! And is amazing condition for its age too!

As you fold out the memo. booklet.

Love the artwork at the center of this one!

On IG a Japan seller had posted these two lovely vintage Baby books and I just had to snag em'! I was able too and they are just too adorable. Both unused books will be listed in my shop soon! One has a lovely roly poly chime doll on it and the other has a doll I have up in my shop as well!! How cool is that?!

Truly adorable Baby Books!!

Below, the book beside the doll I have listed in my shop. Both books are unused and have adorable artworks inside as well. Great for anyone with a baby on the way! The doll matches the book so well too!!

Hard to find roly poly chime doll on this book below. Just so sweet and each book even has a page where you would write when your child's first teeth come in, and other little tidbits!! Haha! Too cute!

Next, this lovely Ribon Manga gift below. I saw a post on IG about the Ribon gifts for the month of July and had to get this one... A bag case and cards you could switch out! Lovely anime girlies on each card featured in the manga and then you can hang it on your purse or bag! I love the case!

Just dreamy!!

I caved and got myself another Skullpanda keychain blind box and look who I got?!!! It's Windflower! She is just too cute for words! I love that I can change directions of her eyes too. Her coloring is perfect and in pink!! I wish I could get the white one!! But, that's a secret one, so Oh well! Haha!

Skullpanda cuties!
I decided to take a pic of my Cup of Joe with some precious rattles! It turned out adorable too!! A lovely way to display my little collection of rattles!!
Morning Cup 'o' Cute!!

Lastly, I finally was able to display my cute Meyercord bunting! I thought this spot would be perfect for it! I also changed out a few things and added others. Definitely makes my little happy space more adorable for me!!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend ahead! Enjoy and Happy Hunting!

"Despite the Forecast...

...Live like it's Spring!" ~ Lily Pulitzer

Spring is in the air... well on Guam it's always Summer! Haha! Here are some amazing finds of the past 2 weeks...

Found this antique Douglas Cuddle bear in "Hounds tooth" print. He is definitely adorable and so unique in this color combo. He's listed in my shop. Below, I was able to adopt this cutie from a friend, made by Gund a closed eyes sweet floral print bunny. I love her sleepy face and coloring for sure!

Next, this adorable polka dotted puppy plush in yummy confetti colors, is a musical wind up doggy and play, "How Much is That Doggy in The Window." He has already been added to my Etsy shop as well. Below, I finally was able to acquire this lovely Easter Rushton Ad with Granny Bun!! One of my favorite ads too! I hope to frame this and hang it soon!!

Then, this amazing new to me vintage Rushton plush box. Perhaps from the late 50s early 60s era. It doesn't say what type of plush it held, but it is great to display a Rushton plush for sure!!

And my little sleepy kitty is just too cute inside!! Maybe a bit too small, but I can still display her nicely! Bought a lot of rattles and a squeak to list in my shop. I kept 2 not shown yet. But these rattles and squeak are listed in my shop already!

Adorable cat in bed squeak still works and has lovely coloring. She is not Alan Jay or Ruth E, but still adorbs. The elephant rattle toy comes with the heart rattle you see. So visit my shop soon!

Well, that's all for now... Have a lovely April guys!

Thrifting Has its Ups and Downs...

... And, well, if you started reading this, and was hoping for some ranting or venting to happen, sorry. Just thought I'd go with this for a post starter. LOL

Here are some goodies I found the past few weeks...

Well, technically, these are not vintage, but adorable pieces I had to share that I got from DollsKill website. They make lovely adorable pink pieces in plus sizes for us voluptuous gals. Haha! I got this adorable pink bow crochet sweater (above) and this truly gorgeous brocade dress (below). The brocade dress gives me "Bridgerton" vibes. I will be wearing this when the next series comes out in May!! Teehee!

Next, I was able to get myself this Pinocosmile from Japan needle felted running artist bun! I've always loved her works, so I am so glad I was able to get one.

The adorable Forsum dolly above, I was able to bid on and win. She is now ready to go to her forever home. Forsum definitely made some cute dollies in the 60s and 70s. Below, I found these two bunnies by Gund available and at a reasonable price. They each needed a bit of TLC and are now adopted and on layaway for a customer. I'm always happy that I am able to find new homes for the vintage toys, dolls and plushies that come through my shop. It means a lot. So thank you guys for adopting them.

These Jr Margaret dolls I was able to find for a dear friend stateside. The dolls were not regularly listed as what they are, which is 'talking dolls'. So to find these not purchased yet, was surprising. They are already on their way to they're forever home. These dolls still talk too! Wow!
One of the reasons, I searched for the dolls above, is because that same dear friend helped me to acquire this Nod by Rushton!! I found him via a marketplace, and the seller did not want to ship to me. Even though I was willing to pay her for shipping, etc. So, I went the route of asking a friend stateside to help me get him. Sure enough, she was able to meet up with the seller and get him for me! Then ship to me! I was so happy. This Nod didn't need any major work except to remove his stuffing as it was that yucky sponge stuffing. Which is what caused his pajamas to start turning brown. Long story short, he was in beautiful condition, and I didn't need to do anything major to fix him!
Below, is my vintage rattle collection... I had to bring them up to the house here for display and since I finally received this adorable changing table for baby dolls. It was a perfect shelf to display them in. I also got this adorable Krueger Bonnet doll. She was in amazing condition for her age.

More on this Changing table above, believe it or not, it was a birthday gift to myself. I found it on Etsy. But had to pay a bit more for shipping to me. It took a month to arrive. That I was not happy with, but it did arrive safely, and it was in lovely condition with the exception of the bottom shelf panel being cracked and needed fixing. Still it a lovely piece and to display my vintage toys or dolls with too! Yay!

The most adorable art piece I've acquired above. Made by Evilbimbo on Etsy. I love the way she created this painting of two cute plushies that resemble "Rushton's Peter Rabbit and Happy Bear!" Even the color of the paint and double frame she used gave me shabby chic vibes.

Well, that's all for now. I hope you find lovely vintage things that make you happy! Be sure to check my shop on Etsy for some cool vintage items available! Happy Hunting!

March On It's Way Out...

Can't believe it's almost April already! Each year that passes just seems to fly by. March has had some interesting finds, so here's what came in...

This adorable plush rubber face lamb, I won online and she just needed a bit of a fix. Her neck was wonky, and she had a black mark on her cheek. I really didn't even have to wash her. She just needed a good brushing and satin bow. I'm so glad how she turned out. No markings or tag. So I believe she is a knock off of a Rushton lamb. Her body is made in a similar pattern. Perhaps a Reliable Toy Co. knock off of Mexican brand. She is still lovely in her own way and she has sleeps eyes too!

Next, I bought these two adorable brooches from Etsy. I love the kitty with pink bow and the Flower with blue oval. Both adorable additions to my pin collection. The blue one I believe is made in Japan. I was also able to adopt 2 Goebel dolls 4201 from a fellow collector! She reached out to me, knowing I collected them and we did a trade. I am so pleased with them. I now have a girl in black hair and auburn from the trade. They each are impeccable in condition and perfect with my blonde gal. Both still have their tags!

Then, I found this adorable celluloid rattle head kitty by Krueger. Love his silly face. Just needed a bit of cleaning and I added him to my Etsy shop! A sweet addition to any rattle toy collection for sure! Adorable flat head lamb also a new addition. I love her so very much! I even found this adorable pink plush Easter bunny. The bunny is all original and I also added her to my Etsy shop! Be sure to check it out!

This sweet pink Rocking Horse is a great addition to my rattle toy collection. I love the colored beads you can slide. It is interesting to find new to me cute rattles and toys! A few days ago I began making these adorable vintage rubber face duck heads into something... In 2 days time, I made a lovely duck roly poly rattle doll. In three versions. The first one was a blue and pink Rushton fabric rattle doll. The second is a pink with blue fabric Rushton rattle doll and the third is a yellow with blue fabric cute animals rattle doll. All with the cute rubber face duck head and bonnet. Each bonnet has satin bow and little pink daisy on top. Designed with the "Web Deb" by Rushton in mind. Listed in my Etsy shop!!

Each were fun to create and to see them come to a finish as well!! I also found this adorable Accordion rubber squeak! I couldn't help but get him. He is now displayed next to my Miss Pots squeak on my dresser and lovely to look at too! I definitely thought he was quite unique!

Next, I won and restored this adorable xylophone baby battery operated toy! He needed a lot of help. His key was missing one, lots of rust, and his drum stick. I was able to replace his keys and added the drum stick from a donor toy. Now, he looks way better. Does he work? I have not tried as I need 2 "C" batteries. Still he has been on my ISO list for years, so to find one in decent condition, was awesome! Yay! Displayed on my dresser as well.

Last, this adorable ceramic bunny made in Japan. I've had her several times before. But this one is not a coin bank but a smaller version and just a figurine! In amazing condition too! She has been added to my shop! Definitely a busy month for finds and lots of unique ones as well.

Happy hunting guys!
