A Thrifting We May Go...

... "A thrifting we may go, hi-ho the dairy-oh, a thrifting we may go!" ~ ggsdolls

May this month bring us all some kind of relief. Here's what finds I've acquired...

I've seen these little trinket boxes at my local "Goody Store" before, but never paid any attention to them, until I saw them on IG!! I didn't even realize they were trinket boxes with key rings to lock them, how cute! So I got two and sure enough they are cute and even better to hold more of my vintage toy jewelry accessories collection too! As of late, I've been bitten by the toy jewelry bug and wanting to find more jewelry with gems! Haha!

The rings are the keys to lock and unlock the cases. I've seen pink, blue and I believe there is a purple one. Just too cute and great additions to my little trinket box collection.

Next, I won this lot of over 20 pieces of vintage toy jewelry necklaces and key chains or pins from Yahoo Japan. I kept a few and have listed a few on my Etsy or Instagram up for grabs. Lovely vintage Idols from Japan too! Those sold will come with an extra pendant!! Like I said, I've been on the hunt for toy jewelry these days. Haha!

Then, I won this lovely vintage Takara Pico-Chan doll wearing a lovely fashion made for Dawn dolls also from the 70s. Mint in box too. I listed her in my shop and it sold fast! The doll is so sweet and when you move her arm up or down, her head twists left or right! How cool!! she is a lovely version too!

I also found this adorable Pink Rushton Molly Rabbit 70s version with her original bonnet. She is simply gorgeous and I love her coloring. She is up for grabs in my shop as well. I have listed a few of my Rushtons in the shop that are available. Below, are two lovely Swimmer brand totes!
This adorable brown Princess bear has blue gems for eyes, a pink gem nose and beaded crown. I will keep for now. Below, the pink sleepy bear tote is reversible and so cute. The pink bear tote is listed in my shop as well! She will make a great tote for travel or while you are thrifting!
Well, that's all for now. I hope you find a lot of lovely things too! May the thrifting Gods be with you!

Thank you for swinging by! ~ ggsdolls

"My Father Didn't Tell Me...

... How to live. He lived and let me watch him do it." ~ Clarence Buddington Kelland.

It is amazing how time flies and thus today is already June. A special month for many reasons and one of them is for our father's. It's also summer and I must admit it has started out to be a great one... Here are my recent vintage finds...

I was able to find a lot of Barbie by Mattel early trinket boxes. A round one and a rectangle version. I simply love the artwork on them. You can see the art is similar to some of the Barbie doll cases of the late 60s. Simply beautiful and a great vintage piece to decorate your dresser with. Next, I found these adorable Takara Japan Kurukuru Candy Babies. Still with original tags. I have already listed them in my Etsy shop.

I also found this lot of Snowbaby posies in white, red, blue and yellow. Already in the Etsy shop and yellow has sold. They are too cute!! The Holbrook Bear case is another sweet find! I love the Bear Angels and they remind me of my white Chubby Tubby! The suitcase itself is amazing!!

With little to no wear!! I will keep this case for a bit. Below, I also found this adorable pink My Toy plush chick. He is so sweet and perfect with Queenie!! I will keep him for a bit too! The rattle below, I just happened upon and it too is just the sweetest. It is sometimes rare to find rattles with the three heads. But when I do I am often smitten by them!! Haha!

My cutie Laughing pup showcasing my upcycled key necklaces!! I have a limited OOAK key necklaces in my shop here! Each with vintage Rushton cute rubber face plush on them!! I also added lovely satin bows to each. They are a nice addition to any Rushton Collection!

Lastly, these two items. I found another Rushton Bear Hand Puppet. Listed it in my shop and was adopted by the same customer who bought the Lot of two puppets I had. Now, this one will be going to a good home and a growing Rushton hand puppet collection!! Below, I saw a fellow collector and friend on IG selling these amazing vintage wind up lambs, a pink and white version. I received them last week and they are truly so amazing for a vintage item. Both still work and the pink one has sold already.

You can see them moving here on my TikTok, below.

Awesome treasures for sure! Happy treasure hunting guys!!

Lapin Couple Japan!!

A long anticipated vintage Japan figurine couple finally arrived to me today along with updates on other things!!

I won these adorable vtg Lapin/Bunnies ceramic couple coin bank figurines made in Japan from Yahoo Japan. They have the same face as the Lapin string holders you see, that are often sought after. This version has a lovely girl bunny holding a flower. I believe she is supposed to have a tiny bee on her ear, there is a little opening in the ceramic. I will see if I can find a replacement. They each have felt covering underneath. Lovely versions for sure.

I did add the blue and pink satin ribbons to each of them. Yes, I used DHL again to bring them in. Expensive but worth it when they get delivered directly to my door! Whoo hoo!! Next, I found these adorable ceramic donut trinket boxes from this Etsy shop here. I was searching for ceramic cupcakes and these were shown!! In lovely pink deliciousness with sprinkles! I may get another. You can put bracelets or rings, charms, brooches inside! So deliciously cute!

Next, I opened the packaging for these cuties so I could get a closer look. The miniature Japan doll is cute and she can twist her head and arms. Sadly, her legs are stationary, but she will be great for as a dollhouse dolly. Just adorable and her eyes, remind me of the cartoon Tintin! I also took out my cutie Pinky! She has faux fur pink hair. Her head is the only part that can twist. Still a keeper!

Last, is this adorable vtg German Bisque doll, I found also on Etsy, like my last one. Though this one came nude. I redressed her and added a bow too! I took some peach lace from the roll I bought at the Daiso, and made her bikini bottoms with it, then took vintage fabric, and made her a top. What do you think?

Now, I have two of these cuties! They are both under 3 inches tall. The taller one's blue eyes have more depth to them. Happy Friday everyone!!

Thank you for looking! ~ ggsdolls
