He Spoke Not a Word, But Went Straight to His Work...

Tis' the season folks!! Here are some unique finds the past few weeks into December!

I received a lot of items from Japan, that was sitting in a warehouse since 2020!!! Yup, 2020. When the pandemic began, I was still getting my boxes via EMS Japan, but by that summer, all flights stopped coming out of Japan into Guam. So, I had a lot sitting for over 2 years, because it was filled with ceramics that could not be sent in a cheaper way besides EMS, ugh. Oh well, so my loss is your gain. Many of these cute ceramic coin banks, etc. are listed in my shop!!

Can you imagine even this cutie who is the largest I've found, was stuck in Japan for that long as well. He is now safely with me and will be added to my shop as well!! Adorable Fujika flocked bear holding an ear of corn! Haha! Below, I also won this lot of anime girl toy jewelry sets. They are already listed in my Etsy shop!!

This 'smexy' and not a typo, Ado Mizumori Bouffant lady reading news ashtray? Not sure, perhaps just a figurine. Was listed in my shop and sold. I've only seen one other from a friends collection too! Below, a tiny tin canister by Chocoholic!! I fell in love with it and its so cute and tiny too! It now sits on my dresser for display.

I also adopted another vtg Japan dakin plush tiger. This one is just too funny and cute. I couldn't resist him! Both tigers are unique and remind me of 50s Japan. I also got this adorable new to me vtg rattle doll that stands upright. She has a wood body and rest of her is plastic or celluloid like my other cuties. I love her so much and she is quite unique for sure!

I also won this lot of plushies below. Most were in beautiful condition, no issues or flaws. My favorite is the Ideal pink Piggy. She will live with me for a bit. The others are up for grabs in my Etsy shop!! There is a Knickbocker Pouty baby in blue, a fabric face sleeping baby in amazing condition and so nice and soft too, and a Chubby Tubby the small size!! Trust me I so want to keep him!! Ugh! Or all of them, but I can't!

This adorable child's suitcase, I could not pass up on... It is definitely made in Japan and possibly by Rune Naito, because of the art work on the front of the case. Inside it is lined in a lovely pink color. Still in pretty decent condition for its age. I did have to reglue the mirror and I need to figure out what to use to take away the glue residue along the edges of the vinyl on the outside of the bag. It is a gross orange color.... Hmmm. What to do...

Next, I purchased this adorable miniature porcelain doll made by a S. Korean doll artist NursingU. She arrived safely to me and is just the cutest tiny little thing! Very well made and truly the sweetest thing ever! I hope to get another doll by her. I also bought a lovely plush side sleeping bear by Icecreambearshop. He arrived safely and so soft and just too cute!! So many cuties by Icecreambearshop are selling out!! Be sure to snag yours before they are all gone!! Available in my Etsy shop!

This posedoll I found in a Lot, I have one doll listed, but this one I will keep perhaps. She reminds me of Junichi Nakahara's 50s style art. Her face and eyes are just dreamy, and she's a whopping 24 inches tall!! She came with her original box as well. Just look at how adorable it is. I can imagine a Dad buying his daughter this doll to bring back to the States... How sweet!

Last, this adorable Macoto paint palette. It too was in a lot that I purchased from Yahoo Japan. Lovely artwork of Macoto T. girls and this one is my fave for sure. It also came with its original box. Made by the Japanese company Venice for school supplies.

It opens up like so. Truly adorable for sure!!

Well, that's all for now. I hope your holidays are shiny and bright this year! Until next time...

Yay It's October!

One of my favorite months of the year!! My goodness how time flies. Here's my vintage finds recently...

Found these adorable terrarium coin banks via Yahoo Japan, and won them. Made by Mitsui Bank from the late 60s I believe. They are plastic roses inside a clear dome and the bottle have an opening you twist to get the coins out. I've already listed the pink one and will keep the red rose bank.
Also from Japan this lovely vintage blue glass bear shaker! I've always wanted a glass bear and the cobalt blue on this one is stunning! I've had the idea of making some post cards to sell in my shop, and so these adorable couple bunny post cards are available, blank on the other side, they make great cards to send to family or give to your favorite Kitsch collector. I also made one with my Rushton Diaper baby bun! I hope to do more soon!! Listed in my Etsy shop!

This lovely Candy Candy necklace with pendant, I found via Japan. I've always loved anything from the Candy candy anime, but they can go for a lot these days. So it was nice to find this one at a cheap price. Part of my collection now. Next, this lovely ceramic girl sitting on a metal chair. Adorable Ado Mizumori style girl with synthetic hair. Just too cute and she has been added to my Etsy shop just in time for Christmas!!

I found this lovely ceramic pup via Ebay and she was missing her fur. So I made a TikTok video on it. She turned out lovely and I am definitely tempted to keep her. But, she needs to be loved!! Already listed in my Etsy shop too! It was fun to come up with a different look for her. Now, she is pink and purple. I was going for a Melanie Martinez vibe for her!! LOL I also found out about these lovely vintage nursery character puzzles. I fell in love with them and decided, to get one or two!! LOL My fave of course Cinderella!

I able to restore this adorable 'Bobo' Valentines clown by Rushton. He just needed his shoes restored and I repainted the green stripe to be pink on his forehead. Now, he's ready for Valentine's next year. Love him and he goes well with my other clowns too! I also restored this adorable Rushton 'Fifi' poodle. She came to me missing her crown and pillow. So far, I was able to remake her crown, but it will take time for me to find her pillow bag she sits on top of. For now, I just added bows to her ears and she will stay with me for a bit.

This next item, I found while searching for some milk glass jars. It's an adorable Oneida plastic canister or bowl with lid for babies, and came with a silver spoon. A gift set. I love the artwork on it so very MCM and mod too! I decided to resell it and it sold fast in my Etsy shop too! I hope to try and find more again soon! A Masako W. make up or trinket box case from Japan, and in gorgeous condition for its age. I have already listed it in my shop! I also bidded and won this adorable mint in package puppy rattle in a lot. I will keep the puppy rattle and sell the fish and safety pin with other extra rattles I got.

This gorgeous huge doll is made by Sekiguchi Japan and she is called, "Silky". I won her via Yahoo Japan! I was so happy too. She is rare to find in a curly haired version. She has lovely eyes and her body is very similar to Printemps or Alice Tear dolls from the same company. But, she is a lot larger at 21 inches tall. Love her Victorian style look too! Next, below this precious and tiniest of all my Rushton plushies, baby that I adopted from the wonderful Sui. She offered her to me and at first, I was going to pass her up, but I am so glad I didn't. She is so cute and tiny at about 7 inches tall. I had to delicately wash her. Sadly, her stuffing was the orange sponge from the 50s. Ugh. Now, she has vintage cotton batting and needed a bit of seam repairs. I just love her to bits!!

Last find for now, this adorable Sheep lamb by Rushton sleeping. She is in perfect condition and still has her original tag and satin bow. I have already listed her in my Etsy shop. She is definitely from the 70s, as her fur is that cheaper type used around that time frame. Still gorgeous she makes a sweet gift for any lamb lover out there!!

Have a great start to your October!! Happy Findings!

On a Roll...

I have been on somewhat of a roll the past few weeks... I've found so many rare kitsch cuties, I am a little freaked out!! Here's what I mean...

The Edward Mobley Rajah I found, and the red Fur Kitty too in my last post here!! A few others that haven't arrived as yet...

Now, I found a Lapin con bank that a few of my fellow collector friends have shared a few years now, and I don't often see them. They have mostly been found out in the wild by them. But, recently, I found one and it is an awesome feeling to finally be able too as well!! Yay me!! She is in amazing condition, and is a bit smaller then the versions I've located in France or Japan. The thing is this one is made in Taiwan! But, looks so much like the others and is well made also! She is a coin bank and just too cute!!

I also, found this cutie off Ebay. He's an egg cup. I had seen him before from a fellow collector. Now, to find his partner. I also made his little snow cap from a baby sock!! LOL He's a keeper for sure!

Update on my Breast Cancer journey. My labs results came in and well... There's good news and bad news. The good news is that my lymph nodes came back negative for any cancer cells. The bad news, Doc has to go back in and remove the outer lying tissue of where they found my cancer to make sure they got it all. Ugh. Either that or chemo therapy. I'd rather him go back in and get it done! Now, the wait for my next surgery date. Please make sure to get your annual mammogram. Trust me it saved my life!!

You all be safe and take care!

Before You Spend...

Earn." - W.W. Quote for today.

Believe it or not, I don't ask Sam for money to pay for anything I collect or buy for my shop. What I make, is what I am able to spend. So, this quote is fitting.

Here is what I received last week Friday!

I received several boxes mainly from Japan, above all the loot that came in and a few other items. A large vintage doll/toy puzzle set of 6, a Ado M. tote bag, Sweater Couple of African boy/girl figurines, Happy N Roro Letter Set, mini memo book, retro handmade Japanese artist bear, a Dalmation pup couple, and a huge Rune cat coin bank. All except for the mini memo, puzzle, and retro bear have either sold or is still listed in my Etsy shop, now.
These vintage sweater African boy and girl figurine set, are quite unique. We often see them as animals like a cat or pup, but to see them like this and the girl with hair! quite unique indeed! They are listed. The Happy and Roro letter set comes with a lot of accessories, like origami sheets, pencil sharpener, colored pencils, etc. Already sold too! Next, these lovely Dalmation pups, are actually my second set found. In great condition, with exception of a little nick on her front. Otherwise, gorgeous.

If you recall, I've found a smaller version of the puzzle above, and below. But, this set has six large puzzles in the bag. I have yet to open it and list them. So many cute vintage toys and dolls in each puzzle too! Just too cute. I may want to keep this? Haha! I also found this huge Rune cat coin bank!!! I was surprise too, that it was still available. I listed it the next day in my Etsy shop, and it sold really fast!!

This mini memo book, has coloring sheets and other little teen tidbits, and information? Perhaps, not sure until I translate it. I will have to do a translate photo later. This one is mainly for my collection. This adorable retro mini bear, I found via a Japan site and the Japanese artist, "Kotori". She has made a few others, that sell quickly. So, I was glad to be able to get one of her creations. I love the baggie the bear came in... it has some vintage ribbon too, if you noticed!

I hope to bring more in if I am able to get them. This sweet Redhead little girl is made by Forsum. She has already been added to my shop. In lovely condition too. I also worked on a few creations. I was finally inspired to work on the bunny head from the Lot of rubber faces from Mexico. I decided it would be cute as a Roly Poly Rattle. I even used the retro Japanese fabric I had in my shop. What do you think? It is made of yellow felt and the fabric. I also used the polkadot ruffles in white and pink, a pink pompom, and then, added a sheer bow. I think he will stay with me for a bit....

Finally, I was in the mood to complete the yellow Fuzbear!! After working on the roly poly bunny, I felt inspired to finish the bear. I also used the same retro fabric on this bear's, palms, feet and tummy!! He turned out beautifully!! I've added a blue satin bow, a squeak sound on his left ear, and a bird sounder in his tummy. He still has the hang tie at the top. You can hold and shake him to hear the bird sounds. I will need to do a bit more trimming of his fur, but he is ultimately done! Whew! Now, there are six others in waiting... Haha!
I almost forgot, the red tote below!! So adorable, I believe the artwork is by Ado Mizumori. A lovely tote bag to carry your mini toys or doll with you on the go. I have this lovely tote listed in my Etsy shop. The lining inside is red with floral designs. Quite unique too!

Season's Greetings, from Holly and her bike!!

Wishing you all a safe and healthy week!!
