a Look Back at Recent Happy Mail...

Before working on the cute white Rushton bunny, I had a few things arrive over the weekend and late last week. If you recall, I shared this odd vintage 8 inch doll I adopted from Ebay, here. I finally had a chance to work on her today. Here's what she looks like now!!

I decided that I could try to change her into one of my favorite characters, Franchesca from "Mad Monster Party". LOL I know wishful thinking, instead she ended up being just a red headed pose doll I could play with. I will have to try to find a lovely red headed with a flip do, to recreate her and be brave enough to paint her face! Haha. So, instead, I was able to use this lovely pose doll head I got in a Lot a few years back and cleaned up the body a bit. She has bunny fur around her neck, and I was able to use it again after replacing the head. I had to reglue the netting on her stockings of one foot, and instead of using acrylic paint, I used chalks to touch up her cheeks where the cloth of the pose doll's face was missing! Yay! Now, I know what I can do to touch up a pose doll face! Especially, since its too dangerous to use liquid paint or anything with water. I still saved the original head, in case I'm brave enough to paint her face later on. She has bendable arms and legs, so she will be fun to pose!

Then, I bidded and won this huge Chiko Chan puzzle on Yahoo Japan. I didn't realize how big it was until it arrived. Whoa, but so lovely, the same or similar type artwork you can see on the boxes of Chiko chan gum. The art is by Kimiko Tanaka, for Seika. Just love vintage shoujo anime art!! Next, I have been wanting to get another silk round pillow for my bed. The orange one I have, is the only color I found years ago and no others have been sold at ROSS on Guam, ugh. So, while searching for some, I found a shop on Etsy that makes them out of Thailand, here, the shop name is "Muttana". I love her pillows and found she made one in a heart shape!! What?! Yup, handmade too, she shipped after she made mine. So cute!

Finally, this lovely coin bank with two puppies in a basket. I've already added to my shop on Etsy. I love their playful faces and it still has its original stopper too. Made in Japan. Just adorable and so kitschy cute too! Have a wonderful week everyone!

Thank you for visiting! ~ ggsdolls
