Finds From My Trip Etc.

I wanted to post some of the things I found while on my trip and the things that I found prior to it online...

When we went to Barnes & Nobles in Texas, there was so much I wanted to grab. But instead I got this mini Zoltar fortune teller! Yup, from the movie, "Big" with Tom Hanks. This one lights up and talks, and included 16 fortune cards! I just had to! Haha! Below, the bath bomb from Daiso. The two bath bombs I got had the same miniature tiara inside! Oh well. Still cute!

I had to get this teal fuzzy bear purse also from Daiso! It was calling my name and just look how cute he is too! There were other styles, but this one was the cutest!! Below, this lot of two plastic light up compacts I found online. They look like something from Daiso, but no name on it. Made in China, they light up and are a cute addition to my compact collection.

I happened to find another Lotte Pretty Lady gum doll set, unused! So, I listed it just a few days ago and it sold fast! It is now safely on its way to the UAE! Love being able to find things other collectors can enjoy!! Unused too!

Next, another Petier vintage miniature diecast table chair set unopened. I have a loose set, but have always wanted a NRFB set. Yippee!! Adding this set to my miniature diecast furniture collection. Below, I found this lovely carriage brooch from Japan. It was a pin that was given when you bought Ribon Little Girl Manga back in 1957. This adorable brooch is lovely and great together with my little princess jewelry too!

Than, I helped a fellow collector get this lovely Posedoll that was handmade. Too cute! Below, I had to get myself the Zuru Mini Brands record set below. I've seen this set and I believe the Microverse Brand as well. But I love the Rose set more. So had to grab a set. Haha!

Sara and I went to check out the new Gigo Japan arcade inside Donki Guam!! It is in the area that used to be the lounge side of Donki for those that flew into Guam from other countries. But I guess the space ended up not being used. So we are glad Gigo Japan occupied it.

Lots of great games for people of all ages and the best were the Crane machines! Sara's really good at them so it was definitely fun to try. We had to get a charged card and they were only taking cash at the moment. So we had a good time playing and it was very affordable too!

Welp, that's all for now! It is great to be back home. Lots of rain as of late too. I hope you all have a lovely August! Schools back in session and life goes on!

Happy Thrifting my friends!

June Finds!

June is here and we are mostly halfway through. A fellow collector friend who owns a jewelry shop online made this adorable brooch I just couldn't resist getting!! So cuute!! She's from the UK so if you want to buy any of her amazing jewelry you can find her here!! Acid Banana!!

Me wearing the brooch that is my fave and below another style she had available that is also so cuute!! Be sure to visit her shop! She has amazing jewelry pieces that even Post Malone wore!!

I found these gacha jewelry pieces while searching Instagram! They are called, "Ephemeral" jewelry and I love the styles that you can find! I got myself four styles and my fave of course is the pink bow heart!! I've always loved bows and finding "bow" themed items is really easy these days since a lot of it is popular now!! Haha!!
Above, I finally acquired this lovely Fruit Drops tin. Made in Japan, they can be very hard to find even in Japan and cost a lot. But I was able to snag this one for much much more cheap, whew!! One of my faves is the Panda decorated one, but there are other styles.

Next, this lovely Yukiko Tani memo book. Inside it has a loose mirror and memo book. It mostly speaks of Astrology and you having a husband?! LOL I just love the artwork on it! Definitely a special memo for sure!!

I also found out that Swimmer released a figures sets of our cute Happy bear and friends! I thought they'd be a lot larger, but this cutie is small at around less than 3 inches tall. I will just have the one figure. They sell the lamb, kitty, and bunny too! Each will come with a stand.

I've always loved kids vinyl suitcases and now I can display my collection instead of store them away! I have more than this, but I will need to put up a shelf to display them at some point. Haha!

Lastly, my lot of vintage cards. Love many of the anthropomorphic ones and cause they are cuute animals I will add to my journal soon! They don't make cards like they used too. Oh well!!

I hope you all have a wonderful time thrifting!! Happy Weekend all!!

Spread Love Wherever You Go...

..."Let no one ever come without leaving happier." ~ Mother Teresa

Hello September... Since my last post, I've refrained from buying merch from Japan for my shop. I'm just being very cautious these days if I can help it. But here are some items that I found recently stateside...

Found these adorable Storybook Nancy Ann dolls for my shop. Two are listed and I will add the third soon. I've seen them before, but never brought myself to buying any until now. They are bisque dolls with frozen legs, but their arms are jointed. I love their simple faces and cute delicate dresses. Great to display on your dresser or in a dollhouse!

While browsing IG, one of my fellow collector friends showcased these adorable wall plaques with Meyercord decals! I had to have them!! So cute an adorable. Bears dressed up as sailors! These wall plaques will definitely be a great addition to my bedroom. Now, to find a spot! Haha! Below, I found a lot of two doll fashions, one I knew would fit Alice and the other I may add to my shop!

I was right! When I took the blue pajamas out to try on Alice, she fit them perfectly. The pants fit as well considering they are a bit short, but sometimes pajama pants have a short style. She is still just too cute in them and are the last things I dressed her in...

Next, this more recent in age, dolly fashion by Dianne. A pink sweater top for Alice as well. I love finding vintage dolly fashions that can fit her. They don't often fit her, but when I do discover them, they look amazing on her!!

Next, this adorable Premier Doll fashion can fit larger companion dolls, but still was adorable on Alice as well. A very simple pink dress with pleats and ruffled lace sleeves. How can I not get this one for her as well!! LOL

I brought my vintage poodle up here to the village for some photos and to decide if I should display her in my room. She's so cute and looked so sweet with Alice beside her. But, after a day I ended up deciding to put her back in storage for now. I'm trying to limit what I have here.

So precious, I could not help but get these Elzac Hollywood doll brooches. I love them! They both look unique and remind me of pose dolls.

Last, I had ordered back in April more Small Puppy Cotton Candy bjd parts and one body set. I also ordered the puppy ears they offer from the Chinese seller on Taobao. I was so worried about tariffs. But luckily, it was just the shipping that was costly. So perhaps it won't be too bad should I decide to order from Asia again. I did however have to wait three months before they were able to shipped due to manufacturing constraints.

Well, that's all for now. Happy thrifting!

Thank you so much for stopping by! ~ ggsdolls

"If You Are Always Trying To Be Normal...

... You will never know how amazing you can be. " - Maya Angelou

I recall a former teacher telling me normal is boring, and that idea has always stuck with me. Hmmm, nice to visit old ideas perhaps...

I recently, found this love vtg dollhouse wooden closet, and it looked a lot like a closet I had purchased from MerryBee in Japan. Sure enough, it is the very same. Merrybee had upcycled the one I bought, and I decided I would do the same with this one!!

I repainted the doors on both closets, even the one I got from Merrybee. I changed the Happy Birthday decal that it had and decided to place these adorable small meyercord stickers onto them. A lovely choice of bears or fawn and lamb. I will keep the pink one and the blue closet is already listed in my Etsy shop! They each have working doors and drawer. Too cute and great for a mini nursery themed bedroom!

Then, I found this adorable vtg Ganz Bros. Toy Co. plush doggy with bone. He arrived to me safely from Canada. I almost didn't get him, because the seller had put the wrong box number. He was listed on my Etsy shop yesterday and was adopted fast! Just too cute and he just needed a good wash and I added the satin blue bow to him. I also found this box of Zany Zooful miniature plushies made for Montgomery Wards. They are sawdust mini felt animals, made in Japan. Sadly, four of them are missing, since the previous owner must have kept them. The hard part is deciding to resell them. LOL The box even has its original price sticker. I love NOS finds and can imagine when they were on toy shelves...

Next, this lovely vtg new baby greeting card, I found. Features a lovely Gund lamb. I sold one very similar to this one. Love vtg cards with toys and plushies in it!! A great addition to my collection! Then, I finally was able to snag this awesome Rushton pink Happy Bear brooch made by the famously talented and funny KewtKitsch on Etsy. Heather is so down to Earth and always makes me laugh. Thank you so much dear for the lovely note, I will treasure the brooch and message. You inspire me dear and now, I have something to remind me of your inspiration!! Love you!! Be sure to visit her shop on Etsy! She has many cute creations to add to your collection too!!

Alice won't give me the brooch back!! LOL

Have a well rested 3 day weekend for those in the USA!! Around the world, I hope you all have a great weekend too!!

Thank you for visiting! ~ ggsdolls
