March On It's Way Out...

Can't believe it's almost April already! Each year that passes just seems to fly by. March has had some interesting finds, so here's what came in...

This adorable plush rubber face lamb, I won online and she just needed a bit of a fix. Her neck was wonky, and she had a black mark on her cheek. I really didn't even have to wash her. She just needed a good brushing and satin bow. I'm so glad how she turned out. No markings or tag. So I believe she is a knock off of a Rushton lamb. Her body is made in a similar pattern. Perhaps a Reliable Toy Co. knock off of Mexican brand. She is still lovely in her own way and she has sleeps eyes too!

Next, I bought these two adorable brooches from Etsy. I love the kitty with pink bow and the Flower with blue oval. Both adorable additions to my pin collection. The blue one I believe is made in Japan. I was also able to adopt 2 Goebel dolls 4201 from a fellow collector! She reached out to me, knowing I collected them and we did a trade. I am so pleased with them. I now have a girl in black hair and auburn from the trade. They each are impeccable in condition and perfect with my blonde gal. Both still have their tags!

Then, I found this adorable celluloid rattle head kitty by Krueger. Love his silly face. Just needed a bit of cleaning and I added him to my Etsy shop! A sweet addition to any rattle toy collection for sure! Adorable flat head lamb also a new addition. I love her so very much! I even found this adorable pink plush Easter bunny. The bunny is all original and I also added her to my Etsy shop! Be sure to check it out!

This sweet pink Rocking Horse is a great addition to my rattle toy collection. I love the colored beads you can slide. It is interesting to find new to me cute rattles and toys! A few days ago I began making these adorable vintage rubber face duck heads into something... In 2 days time, I made a lovely duck roly poly rattle doll. In three versions. The first one was a blue and pink Rushton fabric rattle doll. The second is a pink with blue fabric Rushton rattle doll and the third is a yellow with blue fabric cute animals rattle doll. All with the cute rubber face duck head and bonnet. Each bonnet has satin bow and little pink daisy on top. Designed with the "Web Deb" by Rushton in mind. Listed in my Etsy shop!!

Each were fun to create and to see them come to a finish as well!! I also found this adorable Accordion rubber squeak! I couldn't help but get him. He is now displayed next to my Miss Pots squeak on my dresser and lovely to look at too! I definitely thought he was quite unique!

Next, I won and restored this adorable xylophone baby battery operated toy! He needed a lot of help. His key was missing one, lots of rust, and his drum stick. I was able to replace his keys and added the drum stick from a donor toy. Now, he looks way better. Does he work? I have not tried as I need 2 "C" batteries. Still he has been on my ISO list for years, so to find one in decent condition, was awesome! Yay! Displayed on my dresser as well.

Last, this adorable ceramic bunny made in Japan. I've had her several times before. But this one is not a coin bank but a smaller version and just a figurine! In amazing condition too! She has been added to my shop! Definitely a busy month for finds and lots of unique ones as well.

Happy hunting guys!

Life goes on...

Some goodies I got after Labor Day... First, this lovely plaid bunny plush. I found this cutie on Etsy. Fell in love with his plaid coloring in blue. He has a tag with the "Made in Japan" marking on it. Wires in his ears, he has pink glass eyes, and red threaded nose. He is small, only about 5 inches tall. There was a pink plaid bunny, but, it was snatched up a few days after I purchased this cutie. He will be added to my little bunny collection.

I also found this lovely Educalux stackable baby/toddler toy from France. Made in France, I fell in love with the dolls face. A fellow collector, has the blonde version and I wanted to find out where her cute dolly came from. So, figuring out where it was from and finding this one was awesome! I love her tan skin tone and cute bob. You can remove her head, and the rings underneath. The lower half of her body is a tingaling sounder. She rings when you carry her or wobble her. Just adorable, she has already been added to my Etsy shop.

Next, I couldn't help but order another Amanitarium cutie! This time a pink bear. She is slightly larger then my first bear. This one has her eyes open. She is a big sister to my white bear. Just love Anna's work and I'll definitely be back for more!! I also ordered this lovely pink music box mini telephone. I have a yellow one, and was surprised the same seller had a pink one available. Sadly, it doesn't work unless I force the wind key to move. It is supposed to play the song, "Yankee Doodle Dandy." Still cute for display though!

Last, this lovely lot of Bunka posedoll, and wooden furniture toys from my dear friend Feeriqueshop on Etsy! She showcased this along with other cute items on IG. I couldn't help but snatch them up. They arrived to me safely and just look how adorable these items are... I love miniature wood doll furniture, but to also have the Bunka or tiny posedoll that comes with these vintage Japan doll toys, is even harder to get! They can be very expensive, because these dolls were made around the late 1950s, early 1960s. The wooden furniture are similar to dollhouse furniture. Perhaps about 1/12 scale. The dolls were little rag dolls, that you could pose on the furniture. This lot came with a closet, a stroller, and a dog house with dog.

The closet has one door that opens, but the drawers and other closet door, can't open. The swan stroller is lined with red velvet, and the little wooden dog can be removed from the dog house. The little posedoll below, is a somewhat a smaller version to a standard posedoll. She is without wires in her body to help her stay in position, and is quite delicate for her age. I love her painted face, she is just adorable to me. I can imagine the little girl from the 1950s, who owned her, and used to play with her along with the closet, and little wooden dog...

Thank you so much Feerique for allowing me to adopt her. I will treasure her. She is a welcome addition to my collection and just what I needed during this Lock Down. Which by the way was extended until September 11th.

Please stay safe and well my friends...

Thank you for looking! ~ ggsdolls

Update: I also made another Fuzbear Squeak with Bird Sounder. Yup, I added both a squeak to her right ear and a Bird sounder inside her. So you can shake her and press on her ear to hear the sounds!!

Upcycling Fun!!

If you recall, I got a ceramic Lapin couple set here in this post. I was waiting for some cute things to arrive that I needed to make the girl bunny complete... It finally did!
I searched and found these vintage chenille mini bees on Etsy. Sadly, on 3 were left, but that works for me. I got two in blue and one in red. I immediately, glued the blue bee onto the little hole on the girl bunny's ear. Sure enough, the bee sat nicely and look at how adorable she is! I've seen these chenille bees on other figurines from Japan, like a Rune Bunny. They definitely finish her look, while holding a flower in her paws. Looks like a little bee wants to taste it! I listed the girl bun on my Etsy shop today at 12pm, Guam time and she sold in 7 minutes!! The boy bunny is reserved for a dear friend.
Those googly eyes are just the bees knees to me! Haha Don't you love Chenille dolls, animals and such!! I do! Especially those made in Japan, they are just intricate to me.

Next, I also received this mint in package, vintage Darice felt dolly craft head with yarn hair. I have plans for this beauty!! I love her eyes and cute hairstyle. She will make a very nice wall plaque, don't you think?! I began working on her today. If you look further below in my post, you can see how she turned out. I used blue satin fabric, and the same heart wood plaque I made this cute puppy into, here, in this post!
I then, added red and white gingham ribbon to hang it up with, and white glitter lace ribbon as a collar for her. I also decided to use some of those shiny pastel colored lettering from the Goody Store, along with some cabochon cabs in an ice cream soda and a hot pink bow! I may add something else, not sure what yet... Hhm...

Ohh, maybe she needs some pink tulle?!! I'll have to update this post, if I add that to her. Be sure to check back later if I do?! Haha. Last, I found this cute little toy pincher Bambi plush on Etsy, and all the way from Netherlands! It took him a little over a month, but he was worth the wait! He didn't have a tail or white spots on his back... So, I added them! I basically, took a vintage puff ball in white, glued it on, then painted it brown and nude tones. Then took some white paint, and added spots to his fur. He really looks like Bambi to me now. One of the reasons, I had to have him!!
Keep on creating, stay safe, and stay well everyone!

Updates!!
Okay, so I added the tulle and I think it looks better! What do you think?
