Humpty Dumpty Sat on a Wall...

This post has nothing to do with Humpty Dumpty, but I hope you still stick around for my latest finds?! LOL Below some things that I was playing around with and discovered...

I have these adorable Licca gum mini toy furniture pieces and realized that my anime girl game pieces I found last year, actually work well with the furniture!! Haha! I love this adorable closet with a clear suitcase inside and this lovely gal in a pink gown looks like she just finished getting dressed. Below, more of my anime game pieces around the same or similar size furniture pieces.

Next, I also support other sellers like myself and got this adorable Big eyed Candy Candy style music dolly from a fellow collector and friend in Thailand. I fell in love with this gal and just had to have her for my collection. Sweet starry eyed girl too. I also decided to get this adorable Dance Card with a lovely lady in her blue and pink dress from an Etsy seller. I think it was just simple and sweet and reminded me of the dance cards in the series Bridgerton.

Then, I purchased this adorable hand sewn Kitty pillow from a fellow collector and seller on IG. Jess always has so many cute things on her feed. Just being able to help other sellers by shopping with them too, makes me smile and I hope that someday they will shop and help support others, like myself. It is hard times for all of us, but just buying something however small helps those of us who are self employed and just trying to live. Here's to manifesting sales for my fellow resellers!!

I've had this adorable Queenie Quack for 2 months now. I am still trying to sell my first one in my shop if anyone wants to adopt her. This one I will keep for now. She is all original with her original bonnet. Just love her sweet face. I did not have to restore her. Yay! Below, a truly amazing ISO arrived! I've always lovely Ladymate music boxes and this one was one of my dream ones, when I saw it with a buy it now feature, I made sure to snag it, while I could!

This one has a posedoll princess and swan, so of course based on "Swan Lake" story. It plays "My Way" originally sung by Frank Sinatra. One of Sara's fave singers. I will definitely cherish this music box. I am not sure if it is missing a dancing ballerina or swan. But I will have to look for one to see if there is a magnet under the mirror on the left side. I'll update this post later on if it does. Here's my TikTok video below:

Sweet Sunny Daze...

... and warm summer nights. Gosh, June is almost gone! My how time flies! Here are some thrift finds as

of late!

This amazing hand painted Lamb wall plaque! I immediately fell in love with when I found it. Reminded me of Meyercord, but perhaps not made by them? 1950s and decided to keep for now. I love her eyes, just dreamy! Below, this lovely condition Gund striped gray and black sleepy kitty with original box. I have listed in my shop already. Rare to find them so minty too!

A set of newly release by Ken Elephant acrylic gatcha key chains of Okura Toys from the 60s and 70s. I really love the one with the rings, because I have the actual vintage version. They are so cute and lovely addition to any toy jewelry or dishes collection from Japan. I have a set for sale in my shop too! Then, these adorable pink rubber rain boots for kids. It has an adorable bear mascot, and its original box as well. Also listed in my shop!

I found these tan Poppo style ladies with eyelashes. Each one in good to great condition and they are just so sweet to display on your dresser or kitsch decor. Both listed in my shop as well! Another keeper find is this adorable Plakie rattle toy! Wild right?! You are suppose to hit the wood teeter and the rattle bounces up and down. Truly unique and will stay with me for now.

Below, an ad from a Billy and Ruth catalog 1962 of a Rushton Soldier Bear. I found a loose one needing some help and cleaned him up, refluffed him and touched up his paint. I made his felt top and found the very same vintage natural cornet style trumpet that he holds in the ad. It was truly a joy to work on him and get him back to his original look!

Can you imagine, he was only three dollars back in 1962!! He will stay with me for now. He looks so much like Cheesy Mouse, but look below...

They have similar face mold, but because of the color paint changed slightly he looks completely different! Haha! Such a sweetie for sure!

Happy Hunting my dear friends!

Make Kindness The Norm

 - a quote by Random Acts of Kindness.

Here are a few vintage items I found recently!

I recently found this adorable set of tall bunny shakers and OMG!! I have seen this set before and many love them. But I didn't find it for myself, only to resell and as soon as I posted them the other day, they sold out fast!! Love when cute things get sold fast. Thank you! Below, a lovely vintage child mirror that I thought was just so cute. It came in a lot and I listed this one in my shop!
Below, an item I found via Japan. Sometimes I search through auction and shop sites for cute anime gal things and this one is just a few of the types I simply just love. NFS. By Glico. I also found the lovely Gund kitty. She is wearing an adorable pink satin jumper.
Her head was a bit wobbly and just needed her stuffing refluffed. So I did that and now she is just an adorable sweetheart and her head sits properly. I will keep her in my collection for now.

My Junichi large posedoll has been so much fun to redress and find vintage doll clothing for. She is wearing a lovely Chatty Cathy dress, and vintage straw bonnet I found off of ebay.

And here she is wearing this adorable 1940s vintage handmade cute animal print dress in blue. A mother made this adorable dress for her daughter's dolly. Love learning of the stories behind the vintage pieces I find.

Next, this adorable Kkumming Bear from S. Korean doll artist, I found on a Japan website. She is just so cute and unique. Her body is made of a heavy bisque perhaps? not sure. Her limbs are magnetic and stay on through the magnets.

She such a tiny sweet pink bear and there are other colors and even a bunny too! I am trying to resist getting more. Haha! Below this adorable striped 1940s bunny plush is in my shop. I found her on FB seller's shop. Just adorable and a great addition to any kitsch plush decor!

This adorable musical bunny in purple is also in my shop! Her baby at her back twists when you wind her up to play the music "Here's Comes Peter Cottontail". Just adorable and also in my shop. Below this sweet Knickerbocker Chime toy rolypoly bunny was listed in my shop, but also sold fast. I love these types of chime toys if I can find them!

Just a few more vintage Japan items I found. Above a Rune Roman Capsule is so cute and has vintage flowers inside. You can open this up and put something else inside to display. Below some unique round erasers by Sunstar or Venice Japan. Has sweet anime gals on one side and the other sweet flowers. I have these three listed in my shop. Each sold separately.

Lastly, this amazing Rushton plush 70s kitty cat!! She is minty and all original, has her original tag and bow. I am still trying to decide if I will list her or not... Haha!

Just the cutest I've seen and rare for a Rushton plush!

Well that is all for now... Happy treasure hunting guys!

New Cuties and Finds!

It has been a decent start to the week! A few goodies I found through out the end of December into January and her they are...

This lovely Artist Bunka doll from Japan. I found for my shop. She is a lovely version of Bunka and even has saran hair. She is already listed in my Etsy shop. I have been wanting this lovely pin caddy, mostly because of the colors. So, I found one with its original box!! It came with 3 safety pins too! I will be using mostly to display the bead pin dolls I've been making. More on the bead dolls later in this post!
Shaped like a rooster, the pin caddy is cute! You push down on his crown and his beak releases the safety pins. Its tail part can be used to undo the pin or redo the pin with one hand. Helpful when you are changing a diaper. You might've seen it often. I know I do. Haha! Next, this lovely Lucite jewelry box, I found recently, is from Japan. In Japan auctions they can cost a lot, but outside of Japan, they are very nicely priced, and it still works too! I may keep this one? Haha.

Then, this vintage Toho Bussan pink plush bunny, is similar to Sekiguchi plushies. She has sleep eyes with eyelashes and just reminds me a lot of Twin Stars or maybe Joan Anglund children? I was going to keep her, but she's big and I just don't have the room! Already listed in my Etsy shop! Back in September, I found out that a these adorable Rune Naito mascots were going to be released in December. So, I was able to preorder one set. It arrived safely and they are just like the ceramic versions!! Smaller to the ceramic ones, they can also twist their heads! A set of six and all are available in my Etsy shop!

While doing my usual searches, I found this lovely art print. The seller listed it as a silhouette of girl with bird cage. It reminded me of something whimsical. I bought it straight away! Now, to find a companion! A doll collector via IG announced the release of her porcelain doll Sleeping Sylvy!! I was fortunate to snag one and she arrived to me safely. Oh my goodness, she is just the sweetest artist doll. If you love Frozen Charlotte dolls, Leledolls are perfect! Made in S. Korea by Leledolls.

I was able to snag this rare "Ooh Bunny" girl Rushton in red and white dots. Definitely worth it. I originally got her to sell, but oh my goodness, I fell in love with her! She is just too cute! All original and still has her original tag. I only added a red ribbon, and the daisy in her hand. Back in October, I found this lovely Rushton "Crying" Kitty too! I lovely condition as well. I will add her to my Etsy shop sometime soon! So be on the look out or keep your notifications for Etsy on!

This Rushton "Cuddle" bunny needed help. I snagged her for a good price, and knew I could probably restore her. So, it took me about 2 weeks. I had to wash her twice. Sadly, the stains couldn't completely come off. But, most did get removed. Her face had caked on dirt and dust. As soon as I used the Mr. Clean eraser, I was so happy to know that it would work. Because at first, I thought I would have to repaint her whole face. But after using the eraser, I found she just needed a touch up of her eyes, eyebrows, nose, and mouth only! Yay! I found a vtg doll skirt in red and added a satin red bow. She is just too cute and would be lovely for Valentine's Day. I hope to add her to my Etsy shop soon too! Just check out the before and afters...

Okay and now to talk about my recent handmade cuties... I decided to try my hand at making bead dollies. I made them to be similar to nursery rattle dolls. But, these versions you can wear as a pin, on a necklace or even a key chain and take them anywhere with you! The first batch I made below, sold in one day!! I was thrilled and so thankful!! I decided to make more in other colors.

2nd Batch of bead dollies above, are listed in my shop! I worked on a 3rd batch, and this time used "Swarovski" crystal beads at the center of the flower. I literally paint their tiny bead faces similar to the vintage Japan wood beads you see in craft supplies, and then pick and choose certain colored beads to make them look like doll rattles. My favorite colors of course are the pastels. Haha, can't get enough of em'!! I add a colored safety pin and TADA! A brooch to wear!

Above, are flower brooches which are a work in progress. I was testing out the beads, a bit heavy so I need to figure out a way to put the pin at the back side, so that it will be stable. Sadly, my first attempt, they want to fall to one side or the other. Still needs work for sure... Last, these pics Taby sent me while she was out Thrifting. She found me a cute Posedoll. But sadly, it has stains, so I will not be able to fix her. So I told her I'll pass. It's nice to know that my local thrift might have some gems like this though! Yippee!!

I hope your January is off to a good start! Hugs all around!
