Slowly But Surely...

It has been almost 2 months since the typhoon and life for me has been a bit surreal honestly. Mostly because of moving and waiting. We applied for typhoon relief in most aspects that were offered. It has truly been a lot of help. Now, we hope to have what we need to move forward as far as our home is concerned. Yay.

Whilst, all this is going on, I have been able to settle into our temporary home, well somewhat. The bedroom I'm in is a lot smaller then my old bedroom. So I will have to make due. I am glad for it so that I don't have to move my entire collection for now at least. So, I will show you my new accommodations soon. But I have been adopting a few finds here and there. So here's what came in...

This in pristine condition Gund Bunny with her box. I actually got before the storm but never shared her. She came with her original box, tag, price tag, and receipt!! She will be treasured and a part of my collection. I also won a lot from Yahoo Japan with a cute bunka doll made by a famous doll artist in Japan. She even added a cute stationary sheet. Aww!

I also found these adorable Yoshi Plush Pet dogs. I couldn't resist and got a yellow and blue one. There was a red one, but I had to resist! LOL They came all the way from Australia too! I love their corduroy jumpers and fluffy faces. These are made in Japan and I believe from the 60s. I also bought this lot of Chocoholic kitchen tins and bowls. I have most listed in my shop already. Lovely retro style. I will need to list the bowls soon!

This adorable Picolet brand bag tag just reminded me to Kanebo brand felt made dolls. Just adorable. I bought this one and the Cherub below. Too cute to resist for sure!! Notice my photos are using mostly natural light. Sadly, these were taken when my home had no power, so bare with me! Haha!

I also found this adorable Dream Pet's crab. I couldn't resist. He has a cute white sailor hat and that face! He will be perfect as a prop for my toy photos! I also won this lot of ceramics a few months back and a rare Unicorn coin bank in it. I've since sold. I didn't know Fancyland also made unicorn banks. So cool!! Most of the items have since sold, but a few items are still in my shop so check it out!!

A closer shot of the adorable coin bank. I also won this beautiful Macoto Takahashi calendar from 1967!! I was waiting for the right time to find a frame for it and did. Now, she adorns my temporary bedroom wall. I just love her to bits, especially because she is a little girl holding a doll!! I also found this adorable Phomemo on tiktok. You can print and stick your photos on your memo or journals. It's great for students and using them for studying. I got it for sticking my cute stickers on things!! Not in color but it is still cute nonetheless!

I found a pink Chubby Tubby bear and made him into a Cherub cub. His face mold is somewhat different from my other Chubby Cherubs found. Perhaps an older face mold or as discussed with Kewtkitsch perhaps an earlier version? Below, I restored this adorable clown bunny, who sadly was missing an ear. So instead I added a party hat. He is already listed in my Etsy shop!

The last two items are Sebino's Metti doll keychains. Which I found via Italy. I love Metti dolls and used to collect them, now I can keep the keychains as a remembrance. Lovely in blue, yellow, and red. Finally, I found the infamous Susie postcard with cute rattle head bun! Two in one day too! Both are a part of my collection! Love them so much!

Well, that's all for now. I hope to show my current bedroom soon!

Until then, Happy collecting!

My Birthday Month Yay!!

February is already here... Time sure flies doesn't it?! Here are some amazing things I found the past month up until today...

Finally found myself this adorable tin tray and 2 plates with cute kitty faced children. I've been wanting to get myself a complete set of these adorable tin toys by Ohio Art. But they can be quite pricey. Ugh. Still a lovely set and to at least have these, Yay! I also found another rare Unicorn planter! This time with its original box. "Unicorns Fancy***Land" by M. Kazami. This one just had a bit of paint loss on the planter itself and sold within minutes in my shop. Yay!

I also got some of these gatcha Mascot pails with mini fake candy key chains inside. I love the cute pails more so, and the candy is adorable too! I kept a few and added a few into my shop. Next, I received a lot which included this adorable Rushton pink bunny baby. I worked on restoring him and now he is ready to be adopted. He is actually the baby bun that goes with the Mama bunny. I have yet to see a pink Mama bun though. Haha! Still he's adorable with his tuft of curly hair. Probably made around the 70s with the kind of fur he has.

I also found a Rushton Fox! He is in mint condition and still has his Valentine heart with the words, "Don't Be Foxy". His original collar and ribbon. Even his hat! Just truly too cute. I hope to add him to my shop soon! Next, this adorable large posedoll jointed at the legs. I just needed to find her some socks and I made her shoes! She is a great addition to any doll collection for sure!

I also received a box from Japan, and won this lovely Masako W. handkerchief, a Noriko memo notebook and this adorable Oike Co. pink kitty still with original tag. She reminded me of a Jerry Elsner plush. Just look at that face! Haha! She's already in my shop up for adoption. Also this adorable Poppo Chan tan dolly with green hair. She is mint in package and already added to my shop as well!

Lastly, this adorable Miss Pots Dreamland Squeaky! I recently won via IG auction. I've restored her and now she is ready to be loved. I will list her in my shop soon! She had bites on her lid and edge of the lid, lots of fading through out and needed a good cleaning. In the end, she turned out lovely and still squeaks too! Around the same time, I found one via auction site in just as great condition as the one I own. But she has already since been adopted by a fellow friend and collector.

All three teapots above, one on its way to its new owner. The one on the far right is mine. and the center one will be available in my shop soon! Please note, the center one was taken prior to me restoring her. So it is a before photo. Haha!

I hope you all have a great February! Happy Hunting!

NOS in...

I recently came across a lot from Japan, and decided to bid on it through Yahoo. I won them! Along with some other vintage goods. I decided to started working on some things while awaiting for the boxes to arrive from DHL. Yup, about four boxes worth of vintage goodness was to arrive...

I received the four boxes a little after lunch. I opened this particular box first, it was the Lot I had won. Inside, were New/Old stock of Bandai Fancy Pets!! Similar to Dream Pets by Dakin, these Bandai pets are made with the best quality fabrics, felt, etc. I just love the their boxes, each with artwork of the cute fancy pet that is inside. There are a total of 7 pets, a bear, a giraffe, an elephant, a cat, a dog, a tiger, and a lion. I will be adding all into my Etsy shop this weekend!

Unboxing the rest stuff above and some of what was inside. I won another Lot with a lovely white fluffy dog cookie jar, pose dolls, a poodle, a music box and a bell. The gift craft box is another rare beauty!! A lovely pearl doll and another Twiggy head bust!

This is the 2nd time I've found this lovely Twiggy style head bust coin bank. This time it looks like she used to have red hair. In lovely condition too and has her original stopper! Next, this lovely Gift Craft by Fujika, Red haired Unicorn with cart oil lamp!! Yup, twice now, I found this one. I love that she came with her original box too. You can also see the sticker stamp on the cart, which verifies that Rune Naito didn't make her, but an artist named, "Miko". Maybe she worked for Rune? Not sure. The unicorn and cart is in lovely condition and I will be adding this to my shop or checking for offers via IG.

I also received a few things this past week, that I will quickly share. I bought this re-released Avon "Prissy" Bubble Bath Kitty bottle in pink. It's a recent release, 2019. I've seen her in black too. I've seen these bottles often on my searches, and well, knew one day I'd cave and get it. LOL Then, I bought some Fueki bubble bath bombs and had Sara play with them. I mostly wanted the toys inside. LOL I got these cute blue, regular, and pink Fueki kun minis. They will be great for tiny toy or desk scenes. Next, I also randomly bought this cute blue plush Lamby. Not my usual taste of cuties, but I loved his coloring. After a few days of rain, the water lilies are out and took him out for a quick photo shoot!

Another lot of vintage rubber faces arrived, and I've already listed the Santas and Baby doll face in my Etsy shop. I hope to work on the others to make bag tags. More on them later in the post. I saw on IG this cute little video on this doll below. She is so teeny eeny weeny, a miniature made Kewpie doll, with jointed arms and legs. She will be adorbs in a 1/12 scale dollhouse toy room or toy scenes! The seller also makes them in red! How cute is she, right beside my little bunka and even a Glico pram!! Haha.

Then, also got some of these vintage barrettes from Etsy in Australia, and at a decent price too. I love bows, and they remind me of my childhood. I got these for my toddler doll, mostly because these styles work best on her hair. Last, I finished the bag tags using the rubber faces of the cat and rooster. I've added rattles to them and they are a bit smaller then the others I've made. Still, they are cute and furry. I will add them to my shop later today or so.

It has been a blessed week. So far, numbers for COVID are about the same or higher. The governor will decide if we will continue on lock down or not. Stay safe and well my friends!!
